Yesterday a friend of ours, Kathy Ellis posted this cute squirrel meme on Facebook. I can relate to this. The bird feeder that Larry built hangs from our back porch and we have spent many a day chasing the squirrels out of it. We got tried of this so I have been putting a couple of bowls with birdseed in them on the porch. I also put some bird food in a bowl under a big oak tree for other squirrels because they don't like to share.I fill all the bowls multiple times a day. The squirrels are very smart. After eating most of the food out of the bowls and leaving only the shells we have to watch them because sometimes they will still get in the feeder. Larry had to chase one out of it a couple of times today. The squirrels eat more of the birdseed than the birds.
Today started out beautiful with blue skies and sunshine but by afternoon it became overcast with wind. Sometimes the wind was very strong. It got up to 60 degrees.
Larry continued working with on the RCA computer because was still crashing. He thinks he got it fixed, we're keeping our fingers crossed.
I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Free Cell Mini of 5 games. It took me 7 minutes and 57 seconds. I also did some Free Cell games in the Star Club Challenges. Today was Free Cell Friday, where the Free Cell games points were doubled. I played Mahjong.
We danced Di Green's Weekly C1 Workshop at 2:00 for an hour and a half. We had 38 participants. The moves she worked on were Plenty, Little, Scoot & Plenty, Scoot & Little, Ramble, Scoot & Ramble, Tally Ho and Concentric Concepts. She called six tips. The last tip she did a singing call with a special guest, Santa Claus. The last tip was a lot of fun and we wondered how Di could dance in the suit she was wearing. We had an outstanding afternoon of dancing with Di and Terry.
Normally on Friday evening we attend a square dance but today we attended a concert by Country Dance New York. The group invited Chip Prince, a person we square dance with to come and perform. Chip is a professional Accompanist out of New York. He normally works on Broadway but due to the pandemic he was laid off and now lives in Palm Springs, California. During the concert he played the piano, Sonsgenic and Euphonium and sang. The music he performed leaned more towards classical which is something we don't normally listen too but we really enjoyed it. He was excellent.
After the concert we watched three episodes of Warehouse 13, fifth and final season. Then I watched Won't You Be My Neighbor?, it was a documentary about Fred Rogers. It was a great documentary about why and how Fred Rogers started Mister Rogers Neighborhood. I also watched The Imitation Game. The movie took place during World War II where a group of English mathematicians and Alan Turing try to crack the German Enigma code. I did 26,500 steps, which put me in 4th place with 138,064 steps.
