Friday 12-11 Nasty Damp Day

We had a damp nasty dreary day. It sprinkled on and off all morning but by the afternoon the rain was gone. It didn't get out of the 60's, at the house it was 66 degrees.

We started the day out by going to town to do a couple of errands. The first stop was The UPS Store to pick up our mail. Then we went next door to Walmart and finished our Christmas shopping.

We've had the same inexpensive set of silverware for over 40 years, it's very thin and Larry wanted to buy a new set, that is thicker. While we were in Walmart we found a 20 piece set, that felt perfect. When we got home I washed the set and we used it for dinner. Much nicer than our old set.

Even though it was nasty all day it didn't stop wildlife from visiting. We had gone camping for a few days so we didn't have much activity yesterday but the birds and squirrels came back today. We had two squirrels on the porch for awhile. They started out one at a time but there were two bowls so they decided to enjoy their meal together. We also had a couple of squirrels under the oak tree eating. Larry saw a couple of small squirrels running around the yard. We also had a young buck walk through the yard. In the evening we had a few more deer visiting. What a relaxing activity to pass the time away.

I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Free Cell Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 8 minutes and 28 seconds, which put me in 19th place in my group. I played a few games of Mahjong.

Larry continued working on Christmas projects on the Cameo.

We attended two virtual dances. The first was Di Green's weekly C1 Workshop at 2:00 for an hour and a half. Today, Di worked on Percolate, Anything The Windmill, Relay The Top and Swing the Fractions. We had 50 participates. It was a very pleasant afternoon.

The second one was Ett McAtee's weekly A2/C1 Dance at 6:30 for an hour and a half. Ett called 5 tips of A2 with 26 participates and 1 tip of C1 with 25 participates. During the third tip of A2 Ett workshopped Chain Reaction from different positions. We had a great time.

After the last dance we watched two episodes of Warehouse 13. I finished the third season of Miss Fisher. I ended up doing 24,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group with 134,279 steps
