Sunday 5-30 Walking, Dancing and Card Making

Overcast Day

We had an overcast day with a little breeze. It got up to 80 degrees with high humidity 73%. At 10:30 pm a front came in and it poured down rain at 11:30 pm.

We started the day out by going to Crossroads to walk. It was very humid and we were very grateful there was a breeze. We walked the opposite direction then we did last week. There were no cars in the parking lot and no one was walking the trail, I guess it was because today was Sunday. When we were walking by the tennis courts we saw a few cars and people playing tennis. We have been getting rain every day or two, because of this the wildflowers are still growing strongly. The flowers were beautiful. We had a very pleasant walk.

When we got home I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini with 10 games (5 Free Cell and 5 Tri Peaks). It took me 2 hours, 10 minutes and 39 seconds, which put me in 21st place in my group. Whenever I do Free Cell or Spider games they take me longer to solve.

Our friends Renee and Robert got married last week. The ceremony was small with only family due to COVID. Renee e-mailed friends on Friday about getting married. We were very happy to hear the news. Larry decided to make them a card. He found a great card on Dreaming Tree. He downloaded and redesigned it a bit. Once all the pieces were cut he assembled the piece and added a couple of accessories. Sometimes it takes as much time for him to pick the colors as it does to make the card. The card came out super.

We attended two virtual square dances. First was Doran McBroom's Bi-Monthly DBD at 1:30. He is still on vacations so Jeremy Butler called for him. We had 6 participants. Jeremy called five tips and went through Spin Chain and Exchange the Gears. We had a small group but had a lot of fun dancing to Jeremy.

Second was Loren Smith's Weekly A2/C1. Loren has been calling virtually for over a year and calls three times a week, he hasn't taken any time off. He needs to do a few projects around the house and wanted to travel if possible so he decided to take the summer off. This week he invited Betsy Gotta from New Jersey to call with him. Betsy and Loren called two A2 tips and one C1 tip a piece. During the A2 tips we had 28 participants and the C1 tips had 23. We had a great evening dancing to Loren and Betsy.

After Jeremy's dance we watched YouTube videos. I worked on my annual book. After Loren's dance I finished watching In Deep. I ended up doing 26,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group for the week with 185,811 steps.

Saturday 5-29 Visiting Louise

We had a beautiful day.

The rain was gone and we had a beautiful day with sunshine.

We started the day by going to Round Rock to visit Louise. Louise called a couple of days ago. She had a gentleman replace some of her siding, he had to remove the exterior phone box, lights, security cameras and other boxes so he could replace the siding. Then he put everything back on. He did a good job but her security cameras needed to be re-aimed and a couple of her phone lines were not working. Larry was able to get the cameras back where Louise wanted them but he didn't have the correct tool with him to open the phone box, he will either have fix this later or possibly the person who replaced the siding can fix it when he returns to paint the siding.

Larry brought Louise an owl notepad and a rotating card he made. She was excited about getting the gifts. Last night I made corn bread and hot dog bacon cheddar cheese wraps for lunch. Louise made chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Lunch came out delicious.

While Larry worked on the projects I played with Alice and visited with Louise.

While I was outside playing with Alice Louise's neighbor was outside talking and Alice barked at her. When I went to stop her from barking the neighbor said she had found a baby dove on the ground. She hung a basket from the oak tree that is between Louise's and her house and put the baby in the basket. Then the mommy dove came and joined the baby in the basket.

After lunch we visited a little while and then we said our good-byes.

We got home about 2:30. I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Free Cell and 3 Pyramid). I didn't do to well today. It took me 59 minutes and 33 seconds, which put me in 37th place in my group.

In the evening we attended Don Moger's Weekly Saturday Night Fever Dance at 6:00. This week Dayle Hodge joined Don, they called four tips of A2 and two tips of C1. During the A2 tips we had 44 participants and the C1 had 36. We had a great time dancing to Don and Dayle and with our virtual square dancing friends.

After the dance we watched a movie on IMDb TV, it was a western titled The Warrant. It was slow moving and the acting wasn't very good. We were surprised because the rating was four and a half stars. Afterwards I watched a couple of episodes of In Deep. I ended up doing 26,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group with 159,740 steps for the week.

Friday 5-28 Wonderful Friday

It's Friday have a great weekend

We had a damp day. In the morning we had a little rain. The clouds stayed around with a little misting. By 4:00 a front came through with thunder, wind and rain. It was 78 degrees and dropped down to 70 degrees. It rained steady for about a half hour and continued to sprinkle through out the evening.

The front coming in

We spent a lot of the day watching the wildlife on the back porch and under the oak tree. At one point we had two squirrels and six pigeons eating out of the bowls and a dove in the feeder. When the rain came I saw a squirrel under the tree eating, it ran up the tree to keep dry. After the rain stopped the birds returned to the porch. A woodpecker even made an appearance. The deer came by later at night.

We attended two virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly A1/A2 Four Couples at 11:00. We had 24 participants for the A1 session and 23 for the A2. Dayle called two tips of A1 and two tips of A2. He cued us through out the dance. We had a lot of fun dancing to Dayle and with friends.

Second was Don Moger's Weekly C1 at 12:00. We hadn't gone to this dance in many months because we would get frustrated but the other day Don asked us to come. During the dance He had 37 participants. He called five tips and walked us through moves that the dancers were having problems with. He also cued. The dance was challenging but we had fun.

We started the day out by going to the UPS Store to pickup my annual books that Larry had ordered a week or so ago. While we were dancing we received an e-mail from the UPS Store, that said we had another package, after Don's dance we went back to town to pick it up. One of our cell phones battery had swelled up so Larry ordered a new one, that was the second package.

When we got home we walked through the neighbor's house. It is huge.

In between doing this and that Larry worked on his paper project. I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Medium Mayhem of 27 games. It took me 1 hour, 30 seconds and 19 seconds, which put me in 20th place in my group.

In the evening we watched a movie on IMDb TV called The Lady In A Van. We had seen this movie before and it was still good a second time. It was about a lady living in a van in a gentleman's driveway. Then we watched YouTube videos. I watched two episodes of In Deep. I needed up doing 26,500 steps, which kept me in second place in my group.

Thursday 5-27 Dancing, Mowing and Crafting

We had a beautiful with sunshine. It got up to 90 degrees with a breeze.

I started the day out by doing the Daily Challenges and the Event: Free Cell Mini of 5 games. It took me 10 minutes and 2 seconds, which put me in 15th place in my group.

Larry started making a sunflower. He couldn't find a design quite like what he wanted so he found something he could modify. After redesigning the file he cut the pieces with his Cameo. He then has to shape the pedals and assemble everything. Since he does other things most of these projects take a couple of days.

Having fun crafting

While Larry crafted I worked on my annual book. We also watched the construction people dig a hole for Jason's septic tank.

We attended three virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly C1 at 11:00. He was running a little late so his partner Kathy checked us in. He called five tips ( 4 two couples tips and one four couples). During the two couples tips we had 21 participants and the four couples tip we had 14. He helped the dancers by cueing and telling them where they should be. He told me to move a little to the window and get closer to Larry to be his partner. We had an outstanding time.

Second was Joachim Ruehenbeck's C1/C2 at 12:30. We attended the C1 session, which had 29 participants. Joachim called a lot of left handed moves and Trail and Peel to make it more challenging. Joachim and his wife Mariam has two cameras setup (one they were facing us and the other one with their backs to us). We pin the back camera. We had fun.

Third was Jeremy Butler's Weekly A2/C1 at 6:00. He called four A2 tips and one C1. During the A2 we had 14 participants and the C1 had 11. We had a small group but had a lot of fun. Jeremy put us in positions we're not use to being in, which made it challenging and fun.

After Joachim's dance I mowed the frontyard and backyard, which took me one and a half hours because I did the whole backyard. While I mowed Larry weedeated, blew off the drive and sprayed for weeds. By the time we finished we were hot and tired because of the high humidity.

Larry was looking out the window and saw a fox eating under the oak tree. It was only 5:00 so I was surprised because it usually comes late at night. The fox came back at 11:00 for more food, of course it might be a different fox. The birdfeeder was very active all day. Even the woodpecker and a hummingbird made an appearance. Larry spent part of the morning chasing a young squirrel out of the feeder.

After Jeremy's dance we watched a documentary on Amazon called Garbo: The Spy. It was about Juan Pujol Gracia, who was a double agent during World War II. It was very interesting how he fooled the Germans. I ended up doing 26,500 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group. After Larry went to bed I started watching the third season of In Deep.

We had a busy day but it was fun.

Wednesday 5-26 Dentist and Dancing to Jeremy Butler

We had a beautiful day with sunshine. It was a little muggy. It got up to 88 degrees.

I started the day out by doing my Daily Challenges and the Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 3 minutes and 44 seconds, which put me in 23rd place in my group.

While I did my game Larry worked on trying to get our universal remote for our TV working better. We have been using this remote via Alexa for years and we love it. It controls the TV, FireTV, Wii and our stereo, using Alexa we can turn these devices on and off simply by asking. While it works there are times when it doesn't work correctly and you have to have Alexa turn the TV off and back on to get things right. This use to happen infrequently but lately it has gotten worse. Larry made some changes today and we will have to wait and see if it is improved.

About four months ago I went to the oral surgeon and had an implant put in. My dentist was suppose to do the impression for the crown last week but there was a problem and they rescheduled me for today at 10:00. Now I how to wait another three weeks for the crown to come in. As I was checking out they told me our dentist was relocating to Boston but they have another dentist scheduled to take over for her. She will be missed.

We attended three virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly A2 at 11:00. Dayle had an appointment so he asked Jeremy Butler to cover for him. We had 35 participants in the A2 two couples tips and 24 for the four couples tip. While Jeremy was calling the last two couples tip Dayle showed up and they called the tip together. They also did the four couples tip together. Jeremy did an excellent job of covering. We had a super time.

Second was Don Moger's Weekly C1 Teach at 12:00. We showed up a little late because we were dancing to Jeremy and Dayle. We danced five tips with Don. He had 32 participants. Don worked on Make Magic, Linear Action, Ah So, Follow Thru and the Thar Formation. We had fun.

Third was Doren McBroom's Weekly A2/C1 at 6:15. Once again Jeremy Butler was covering for him. Jeremy called three tips of A2 and C1. During the A2 session we had 10 participants and 7 participants for the C1. The last two tips Don Moger zoomed in and danced. Jeremy did an outstanding job. We had a great time.

After Don's dance we went to Michael's, Larry had a $5.00 rewards coupon which was about to expire. He also had two other coupons, one for 20% off an item and the other one for 30% off another item. We ended up buying two packs of paper and a pack of three different colors of Liquid Pearls. He has been seeing pictures of other peoples projects where they used Liquid Pearls so he wanted to try them out. Using a discount coupon and his reward points they were almost free. Liquid Pearls are used to accent your projects. He tested them on a scrap piece from his pencil project and they worked excellent.

After the last dance we watched a documentary on Amazon called Owned: Tale of Two Americas, which was about housing in America. It was very good. Afterwards I finished up the second season of In Deep. I ended up doing 26,500 steps, which kept me in 2nd place in my group.

Tuesday 5-25 Muggy Beautiful Day / Hair Cut

Today's weather was weird. We had some rain in the afternoon which left it muggy and the humidy at 80%. After the rain the sun came out and the humidy went down to 69%. The day turned out to be beautiful.

With all of the concerns about Covid Larry has been waiting longer than normal to get his hair cut. A few weeks ago he received a coupon in the mail from Great Clips in Belton to have his hair cut for $7. This motivated him to get his hair cut. While he was getting his haircut I went next door to The UPS Store to get our mail. Then I walked to Walmart to get some milk. On the way home we stopped by Top Donuts for a donut.

When we got home I did my Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Klondike and 3 Spider). It took me 17 minutes and 13 seconds, which put me in 20th place in my group.

Larry finished reloading our tablet.

We attended three virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly Plus at 11:00. Dayle called four two couples tips and one four couples tip. During the two couples tips we had 31 participants and 24 in the four couples tip. The third tip Dayle did something different by saying don't do the last part of a move. We had a super time.

Second was Di Green and Terry McCan's Weekly A1/A2 Workshops at 1:30. Di and Terry called five tips in each session and a four couples A2 tip. During the A1 session we had 31 participants, A2 had 33 and the four couples tip 24. The last tip in the two couples A2 session Di worked on Pass and Roll because it was requested. Di and Terry helped the dancers out by dancing with their backs to us and cueing the sessions. We had a fun afternoon.

Third was Don Moger's Weekly A2 at 6:00. We had 39 participants. Don called five tips, we had some new dancers to Zoom and he had to walk through some moves. The dance was mostly two couple material and you have to work with phantoms. The second tip Don worked on Cast The Shadow by putting us in a box of four and told us to do the center part or the outside part. It's really a four couples move. The fourth tip he worked on moves using the side couples as phantoms. We had a lot of fun dancing to Don and with friends.

In between dances I continued working on my annual book.

After the last dance we watched the documentary When The World Breaks Amazon. It was about how people survived during the Great Depression, they interviewed different people. It was very interesting. I watched two episodes of In Deep on Acorn. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group

Monday 5-24 Damp Day

Damp Day

We had an overcast day with sprinkles on and off. In the afternoon the sun came out for a little bit. The humidity was 88%.

We started the day out by going for another walk at Crossroads Park. Today we walked the Pepper Creek Trail. We parked by the soccerfields and picked up the trail there, we took our umbrella along. We walked to airport road, from there we turned around and continued to the park entrance by the Scott and White facilities. We turned around where the trail meets up to the sidewalk from the parking lot. As we walked we saw a few people jogging, walking and playing disc golf. The waterfall wasn't running but the main part of Pepper Creek was. Due to the high humidity and a bit of light rain we were quite damp by the time we finished.

A statue on Pepper Creek trail

On the way home we stopped at Walmart to pick up a few items.

Yesterday I wrote that there was a bird roosting on the security camera. Larry made another plate with staples in it for the camera. Tonight I checked and the bird was back but he was roosting back on the box on top of the staples. Looks like Larry will have to try something else.

I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Easy Street of 30 games. It took me 1 hour, 20 minutes and 37 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group. Then I continued working on my annual book.

We use our tablet a lot and recently it has been giving us some problems so this afternoon Larry decided to rebuild it. It's going to take a few days to reload and configure all the programs he had on it.

We attended Steve Kopman Weekly A2/C1 dance at 6:30. Steve had to pick up his daughter and granddaughter at the airport so he asked Don Moger to call for him. Steve introduced Don to the dancers and then left. Don called four A2 tips and two C1 tips. During the A2 tips we had 32 participants and the C1 tips we had 15. Don did an excellent job of calling and we had a fun night.

After the dance I turned on the television and the Wonderful World of Disney was on. This week it was showing Rapunzel and Larry knows how much I like Disney so we watched the last hour of it. The animation that Disney has on their movies are amazing. Then we watched a couple YouTube videos while Larry continued working the tablet. When Larry went to bed I watched a couple episodes of In Deep. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group. LIFE IS GOOD!!!

Sunday 5-23 Fresh Bread, Walking and Dancing

Overcast day

We had an overcast day with the humidity at 80%. The temperature got in the low 70s. There was a breeze which kept it cool. Occasionally it sprinkled.

Last night I took a loaf of bread out of the freezer to thaw and rise overnight. When Larry woke up this morning it was ready to be baked. After it was baked and cooled down Larry sliced it. It baked great and tasted delicious.

Fresh baked bread

We started the day out by going for a walk at Crossroads Park. We hadn't been there in a long time. As we were driving by the batting cages we saw a lot of kids and coaches practicing batting. By the time we finished our walk they were gone. As we walked we saw wildflowers along the edge of the trail and in the surrounding fields. They were beautiful. We saw a couple walking their dog, it had a two piece pack on. We had a pleasant walk. I forgot my camera so I used the phone to take the wildflowers pictures.

Wildflowers on the side of the trail

A wildflower growing in the rocks

A field of wildflowers

We have had a couple of small birds roosting on our front porch security camera box and making a mess with their droppings, today Larry cut a wood plate and put some staples through it so when the birds land their feet will be poked. He put it on top of the camera box. This seemed to keep the birds off of the box but one of the birds was smart and decided to roost on the camera itself. Guess we get to see what Larry does next.

The plate Larry built

Our back porch had a lot of activity today. We had squirrels, cardinals, doves, a woodpecker and small birds. Larry has been chasing a squirrel out of the feeder for a few days, it seems when he finishes eating the food out of the bowls he wants more. It figured there was more food in the feeder. Squirrels are very smart. When the squirrels leave I fill the bowls again.

I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Spider and 3 Pyramid). It took me 15 minutes and 41 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group.

Afterwards I continued working on my annual book. Larry read.

In the evening we attended Loren Smith's Weekly A2/C1 dance. This week Loren invited Joe Uebelacker to come and help call the dance. Loren called two tips of A2 and one tip of C1. Joe called one tip of A2, the C1 teach and one tip of C1. During the A2 tips we had 22 participants, C1 teach we had 18 and C1 tips we had 14. During the C1 learn tip Joe worked on Tally Ho. We had an outstanding hour of dancing.

I have been having trouble logging into the Microsoft Solitaire on our tablet so after the dance Larry looked at it. He was able to fix it and hopes that the problem doesn't return. I'll have to see tomorrow. When Larry went to bed I finished up the first season of In Deep and started the second season. I ended up doing 28,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group with 189,665 steps for the week.

Saturday 5-22 Home Project & Saturday Night Fever Dance

Awesome Day

We had an awesome day.

Larry started the day out by working on the sprinkler project. He was assembling the piece he bought yesterday and realized he forgot to buy a part. He continued doing the project as far as he could. He also decided he was going to need a separate wire for the new sprinkler that he did not have. We went to The Home Depot to pick up the parts he needed.

When we got home Larry went back to his project. He went to the side of the house where the wire fed into the garage and dug the pipe out of the ground. Then he fed the new wire and the old wire through the pipes. While working outdoors it started to rain so he moved inside the garage and installed the wiring to the controller. When the rain stopped he finished up the project. It came out great. Keep in mind this is only used a few months every summer, come fall he can simply unscrew the hoses and store it inside.

When it was raining too hard to work on the sprinkler Larry moved onto our covered back porch and cleaned the barbecue grill. Over the winter it had gotten quite dirty and on top of the weather I am not the best about wiping it down when I drip something on it. The grill is 15 years old and we use it a lot. Larry has had to do some maintenance on it over the years but it still looks and works great. Don't know if Weber grills are built the same today but this one has been terrific.

Clean Grill

While Larry was doing this I did my Solitaire games. Today was National Solitaire Day, where the points you earn when you solve a Solitaire game is doubled. This helps you with your stats. I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: National Solitaire Day of 10 games. It took me 28 minutes and 18 seconds, which put me in 30th place in my group.

In the afternoon I worked on my 2021 annual book and Larry read.

In the evening we attended Don Moger's Weekly Saturday Night Fever Dance. This week he invited Chris Jensen, from New Mexico to call with him. Chris and Don called two tips of A2 and one tip of C1 a piece. During the A2 tips we had 42 participants and C1 tips we had 35. We had great time.

After the dance we watched a documentary on Amazon called My Italian Secret. It was a good documentary about heroes who worked together to fight the Nazi's to save thousands of Jews. Afterwards I started watching a BBC series called In Deep, which is about two cops (Iiam Ketman and Garth O'Hanlon) who go undercover to solve crimes and their personal lives. I watched four episodes and so far it good. I ended up doing 26,500 steps, which kept me in 2nd place in my group with 161,632 for the week.

Friday 5-21 Truck Oil Change & Dancing

Do the happy dance

We had a wonderful day with some rain clouds.

Our irrigation system is controlled by a Rachio: Smart Sprinkler Controller. If the forecast calls for rain or we have gotten rain we normally get a notification indicating the sprinklers will not run. The north side of the front yard has one corner that doesn't get enough water so every summer Larry puts a sprinkler attached to a garden hose there. When the irrigation system runs in that area Larry goes out and turns that one sprinkler on. He has a timer on the hose. The timer has been dripping so he goes back out and turns the water off. He was gong to replace the timer but he decided to connect this sprinkler to the Rachio system. He needed to get the parts to do the project.

We started the day out by going to town. First stop was Walmart to pick up a few items. Our kitchen drain has been having an odor again and instead of Larry taking the piping apart and cleaning it we watched a few YouTube videos concerning this problem, there were lots of them, most of them recommended using baking soda, vinegar and boiling water to clean the drain pipe. While at Walmart we bought baking soda and vinegar. One of our garden hoses is very old and starting to crack, Larry likes this hose but they no longer make it. He found a hose at Walmart that has good reviews so we picked one up. Next stop was The Home Depot to purchase parts for the sprinkler project. The employee who was working in the plumbing area helped Larry find the parts he wanted, he was very knowledgeable of the area. When we checked out the employee working in the self-service area helped us when an item wouldn't scan. We had a super experience.

We attended two virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly Four Couples A1/A2 at 11:00. Dayle called two tips of A1 and two tips of A2. During the A1 tips we had 24 participants and A2 had 23. Dayle did a great job of calling and cueing. After the first tip there was a discussion about how much cueing is too much. Larry said he could never cue too much and to feel free to help us by calling us by name, same people hate it when a caller uses their name to get them in the correct position. Dayle has an amazing memory because he can tell dancers where to go by what he sees. An example is he will say go towards the kitchen or couch. We use a cross made by painters tape to mark the center of our square. Dayle has helped me many times by telling me what side of the cross to be on. We had a super time.

Second was Di Green's Weekly C1 Workshop at 2:00. We had 32 participants. Di had problems sending an e-mail telling us what moves she was going to workshop so she just worked on two couples and four couples moves we were having problems such as Tally Ho, Turn and Deal and Stretch Tag The Line Half. She did a great job of calling and walking us through the moves. We had a fun afternoon.

In between the dances Larry changed the oil in the truck. We seldom drive the truck anymore, we use it to pull the boat or if we need to pick up something that will not easily fit in the car. Larry changes the truck oil every 5000 miles, the last time it was changed was in December of 2015. We had used the Valvoline Instant Oil Change place near us. He had a trouble removing the oil filter because it was put on so tight.

While Larry was changing the oil I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 10 games. It took me 34 minutes and 14 seconds, which put me in 10th place in my group.

After Di's dance I did my housework and a couple loads of laundry.

Housework

Doing laundry

When we went to Aldi a few weeks ago we picked up a couple of frozen pizzas. We haven't had a frozen pizza in a long time because I don't need the calories. Today for dinner I baked the Mexican Style Pizza on the gas grill. I had to keep an eye on it because the directions said it would take 16-19 minutes to bake at 425 in the oven. The grill stayed at 350 and it only took 10 minutes. It was a little crunchy but it was delicious.

In the evening we watched Rickover: The Birth Of Nuclear Power via Amazon. This was a documentary on Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, who when he was a Captain harnessed the power of the atom, ultimately transforming the Navy and changing the course of America's technological development. It was a good documentary. Then I finished watching the last season of Star Trek: Voyager. I ended up doing 26,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group.

Thursday 5-20 Busy Thursday

Busy doing this and that

We had a busy day doing this and that.

I started the day out by doing my Daily Challenges and the Event: Pyramid Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 14 minutes and 29 seconds, which put me in 30th place in my group. Larry continued reading his book and finished it.

We attended one virtual square dance, Dayle Hodge's Weekly C1 at 11:00. Dayle called four two couples tips and a four couple tip. During the two couples tips we had 28 participants and the other tip we had 20. Dayle did an excellent job of helping by cueing, especially the four couples tip. Every week Dayle is adding more complexity by putting us in positions we're not use to being in. We had a great time.

After the dance we had lunch. Then I mowed the front and back yards which took me about an hour. While I did this Larry weedeated and blew off the porch and driveway. Afterwards we took the motorcycle out for a ride. Larry tries to do this once a month. This time I went along with him. The ride was for about a half hour. When we got home we put our helmets away. Next we took the truck for a spin, we hadn't done this in a long time. Before leaving Larry loaded a couple of small gas containers that we use for the mower in the back. The truck needed gas so we went to Murphy USA, we had enough points to save 10 cents a gallon up to 20 gallons. Then he filled the two gas tanks. After leaving Murphy USA we went by the storage center to take the Minnie for its monthly ride. After returning the Minnie to the storage center we went home.

Larry finished a book he was reading

I started working on my annual book for 2021.

Mowing the yards

In the evening we watched a documentary on Amazon called There Are No Fakes. It was a Canadian documentary about a musician Kevin Kearn's lawsuit against the Maslak McLeod Art Gallery when he found out that the Norval Morrisseau painting he bought was a fake. It takes you through the process on how the fakes were made and proving they are fake. It was very good. Then I watched a few episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. I ended up doing 27,500 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group with 109,039 steps for the week.
