Tuesday 6-30-26 Liberty Hill Dance, Games & Having Fun

Good-bye June

It's the last day of June, where did the time go. I can't believe it's more than halfway through the year.

We haven't broken 100 degrees yet this year but we've gotten close a few times. Today the morning temperature was 76 degrees and the high was 96 degrees with wind. It has been hazy this week because we have the Saharan Dust. Saharan Dust is an aeolian mineral dust from the Sierra Desert.

Hot Windy Day!

We spent the day in Liberty Hill square dancing C1/A2 at Kay and Bob's house to John Kephart. We left the house at 10:15 am and was back at the house at 4:30 pm.

We stopped in Liberty Hill and ate lunch. Before leaving the house I made a sandwich and packed a few snacks to have for lunch. We arrived at the Ski's house at 11:40 am. We said hello to Kay and Bob and Larry set up for the C1 tapes session of the dance. A few minutes later Susan, Lynn and Belinda arrived to dance C1 with us. A gentleman from Germany was staying with the Ski's and he is a caller so he danced with us. He hadn't danced C1 for about two years so he just wanted to watch. After a bit we invited him to join in. He danced very well. We all danced very well, we rotated in and out because there were six of us. We danced to Tony Collingwood from the U.K. We had a super time.

At 1:00 we danced A2 with John Kephart for two hours. We had enough people for a square and four people sat out. We used a computer program to tell who was dancing with whom. The last tip John called a six couple tip. Larry danced with Mary Alice one tip and I sat out.  I took pictures. All dancers danced very well. We had a great time.

Before leaving for the dance Larry did a little crafting. He assembled the Skeleton. It came out excellent. He took the Jack-O-Lantern with us to the dance to give to Kay. She loved it. She was excited and said how cute it was.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Free Cell and 5 Pyramid). It took me 1 hour, 4 minutes and 29 seconds to complete, which put me in 14th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

When we got home I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Medieval Madness, Mission Impossible, No Good Goffers! and Red & Ted's Road Show. I played very well even though I didn't get on the board. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Dr. No,  Game of Thrones, Tales of the Arabian Nights and World Joker Poker. I had fun playing pinball.

We watched our YouTube videos.

In the evening we watched Dune again out of our movies collection. When Larry went to bed I watched Wicked For Good and Stuart Little from our movies collection. I ended up doing 4,000 steps.
