Where are we? |
Where are we? Are we in Belton? No. Are we in Texas? No. We're back in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm very excited because I can use my new snow ski equipment.

Yesterday, I packed a couple of suitcases to get ready for our trip back to Santa Fe. Then we loaded the car with our ski equipment, suitcases and snacks. This morning we woke up at 6:00 to finish getting ready. I put the coolers together and loaded them in the car. We put our electronics in a box and then put it in the car. We were on the road by 6:30. We took the same route we took three weeks ago. The drive was mainly state highways, there was very little interstate. When we were on the road a couple of hours we stopped by the Donut Palace in Comanche and bought a couple of donuts. I
slept most of the way. We stopped a few times to stretch our legs, fill
up the car or eat. West of Santa Rosa, NM. we saw two different herds of Pronghorns.
While driving down the highway I looked at our radio and saw that the date was weird. It said that it was Monday July 16th, 2012. A little while later it was reset to the correct date. I don't fully understands how it works but our infotainment system (radio) sets it's date and time automatically, when we travel and cross into a new timezone it will automatically update to the correct time.

Living in the Santa Fe area |
It took us 12 hours to make the drive but we gained an hour when we got into New Mexico so we arrived at the Days Inn at 5:30 New Mexico time. After unloading the car we walked over to Denny's and had dinner. Afterwards we spent the rest of the night relaxing in the motel room.
