Wednesday 6-30 Dancing and Yardwork

Having fun with friends

I can't believe that it's the last day in June and we haven't put the boat in the water. With all the rain Lake Belton was nine feet over full, it is now only three feet over full. It has dropped six feet in the past week. We have gone to Rogers Park a couple of time to check out the level of the lake. We were going to put the boat in this week but the weather has been iffy.

Getting the boat ready

Larry spent part of the day playing with a new device that allows our computer to work on two monitors at the same time. Doing this we can run Zoom on one monitor and the other can display something else like our security cameras. This new device works very well but it is still not as good as two computers. We have been using a older tablet to run our security cameras but due to a software driver problem it has become unstable, Larry has been unsuccessful in fixing it. Sometimes it will run a week before it crashes (which would be fine) but other times it will crash and reboot two or three times in one day. Time for a replacement.

While Larry was playing I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Medium Mayhem of 27 games. It took me 2 hours, 8 minutes and 7 seconds, which put me in 23rd place.

We attended two virtual square dances. First was Dayle Hodge's Weekly A2 at 11:00. He called four two couples tips with 27 participants and one four couples tip with 14. He did an outstanding job of calling with cueing when necessary. We had a great time.

Second was Don Moger's Weekly C1 working on problematic calls at 12:00. Don called six tips with 29 participants. Dale's dance runs until 12:15 so we attended an hour of Don's workshop. Don worked on Relay the Top, Wheel And, Reverse Wheel And, O Formation, Butterfly Formation,Twist. Linear Action and Scattered Scoot. Don did a super job. We had fun like always.

After Don's dance I mowed the frontyard and half of the backyard. It took me an hour. While I mowed Larry weedeated, treated for weeds and blew off the driveway and mower.

After dinner Larry treated for bugs because I saw some ants. I did some laundry.

The intercom system on our helmets died so Larry ordered a new one. It came in today so after dinner he installed it on the helmets and programmed it. In testing it around the house it worked really well, we'll have to take the bike for a ride and give it a real test.

In the evening we finished watching Us on PBS. I continued watching the first season of White Collar. I ended up doing 29,000 steps to make up for the steps I didn't have time to do yesterday. This put me in 4th place with 77,000 steps.
