Saturday 5-1 May Dance & Saturday Night Fever Dance

Playing in the rain

It rained on and off all day. At 4:30 the rain came down hard. It got up to 71 degrees again.

The rain didn't stop the squirrels and birds from entertaining us. We had a lot of cardinals steadily go in and out of the feeder and on the porch. They also were eating under the oak tree. When the rain came down hard I was barbecuing dinner and I saw a squirrel come down the oak tree. When it got to the bottom where the feed was he crawled into the tree's root system to keep from getting too wet. When the rain slowed down it went to the feed.

We attended two virtual square dances. First was C1 at 2:00 to celebrate the beginning of May. It was called by Ett McAtee and Di Green and we had 38 participants. Ett and Di both called three tips. The dance was very challenging because there wasn't a lot of cueing. The first tip had no cueing and people were breaking down so the other five tips Ett and Di decided they would tell you where you should be when they call the four couples moves. This helped a lot. Both Ett and Di have been doing workshops for months on the C1 moves and they wanted to see what moves needed more work.

Second was Don Moger's Weekly Saturday Night Fever at 6:00. This week he invited Dayle Hodge to join him and call. Don and Dayle called four A2 tips with 55 participants and two C1 tips with 43 participants. We had an outstanding evening dancing to Don and Dayle and with friends.

When we weren't dancing Larry finished making an elegant lady called Rosie and framed her for the wall. He also started and finished a card paper project. He is having a great time playing with his Cameo. While Larry did his projects I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 28 minutes and 18 seconds, which put me in 30th place in my group. Then I did a very Tri Peaks games in the Solitaire Dark.

After the last dance we watched the second episode of  Hemingway's life between 1929-1944 called The Avatar. Then I finished watching the fourth season of Star Trek: Voyager and started the fifth season. I ended up doing 27,500 steps.
