Friday 1-1 Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope everyone had a great day.

Larry started the day out by going to Walmart to pick up a few things. He also had an order waiting for him at The Home Depot but when he got there the store was closed, it didn't open until 9:00.

We have an old Logitech web camera that we have been using for our virtual square dancing. We have this camera mounted on top of the computer monitor and it has been working well but the pictures are small so Larry ordered a new HD camera. As he was experimenting with it he thought it would work better mounted higher, we have a small extendable tripod/selfie stick that we keep in the Minnie so we went to the storage center to get it. While we were out we stopped by The Home Depot to pick up our order. When we got home Larry set up the selfie stick and the camera. The camera now shows almost our entire dance area. You can even see the center of the square. We used it for our dances today and it worked outstanding.

I did Microsoft Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondike and 5 Free Cell). It took me 1 hour, 59 minutes and 36 seconds. Today when you complete any Solitaire game your points double.

We attended two New Year dances. The first was Di Green's Weekly C1 Workshop at 2:00 for an hour and a half. We had 42 participants. Di worked on 6X2 Acey Deucey out of a diamond, Split Recycle and other Split Concepts so we got use to be working with a full square and seeing all the phantoms. Then we worked on Interlocked Diamonds. Di did an outstanding job of teaching the concepts. We had a great time.

The second one was Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance at 6:30 for an hour and a half. Tonight Ett invited Dayle Hodge, Betsy Gotta, Doren McBroom and Jeremy Butler to attend the dance and call. Each of the caller called one A2 tip. We had 82 participants. We had an outstanding night of dancing.

After the last dance we watched a couple of episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. Then I finished watching the fifth season of Inspector George Gently. I ended up doing 26,162 steps, which put me in second place in my group with 135,685 steps.
