Back in Texas
We woke up early. Larry was up by 6:00 and I got up 6:15. The temperature in Little Rock was 50 degrees. By the end of the day we were in Ennis Texas, where the high was 80 degrees.
We had a quick breakfast and got ready to go. We wanted to beat rush hour in Little Rock. We put things down and away and made sure they were secure. We were on the road by 7:00.
Larry drove 350 miles for seven hours so it was a long day for him. We traveled mainly interstates and divided highways. The last 100 miles were two lane highways through small towns. We saw a lot of green pastures with horses and cattle. When we got to east Texas we saw goats, sheep, horses and cattle. We also saw some wildflowers along the road. We were surprised to see them after being on the road about four weeks. We went through a little road construction, which delayed us about five minutes.

We were driving down the interstate in Texas for about 150 miles before we saw a rest area. We stopped there and had lunch. We stopped another time to fill up the Minnie. On this tank of gas we got 10.2 miles a gallon, which was the best we have gotten on this trip. Larry was surprised because we had driven in strong head winds.
We arrived at Mott Park around 2:30. Yesterday Larry made a reservation so it was easy to check-in. He just told the host at the entrance that we had reservations on site #25. The host just had to get the tag and handed it to Larry. He also gave Larry a map of the park.
Mott Park is on a Corps of Engineers lake called Bardwell Lake. The lake has three parks for camping but Mott was the only one open. It doesn't have any hiking trails but the lake is beautiful. It has two loops for camping with 40 sites. Each site has a covered picnic table, grill, fire ring, power and water. It has one bathroom with running water. There is a beach, boat ramp, dock and day area. The day area has an open hole bathroom. It reminds us of Granger Lake.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing. Larry read and I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event today was Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 5 games. It took me 11 minutes and 37 seconds, which put me in 35th place.
After dinner I walked around the park for an hour and a half to get some steps. I ended up doing 11,000 steps. Locals were fishing on the banks and off their boats. Others were swimming and having fun. My walk started out warm but then a breeze came up so it cooled things down. I had a good walk.

Thought I would add a few more photos from yesterdays visit to the Vogel Schwartz Sculpture Garden. There was a memorial section about the XIX amendment of the constitution, which gives all citizens the right to vote. The whole amendment was engraved in plexiglass and a beautiful sculpture representing the women's right to vote. Below are other sculptures we saw.
