Wednesday 10-7 Boating and Dancing

We had a great day. We woke up to another cool morning with the temperature in the 50's.

Larry continues to work on the Cameo box project, he finished putting on the polyurethane. While the polyurethane drys he started another Cameo project. Larry continues having fun doing projects on the Cameo and there are a lot of projects to choose from. He spent a few days last week working on making popup cards. He made a couple of thank you cards to thank Louise and Shirley (Larry's mom) for our birthday gifts. He also made a card for our friends Jeanne and James to let them know we missed dancing with them.

I did my Solitaire games. Today it was Eventsday, which means that all the games in the Event challenge the points are doubled. I did the Daily Challenges and Event: Hard Road Mini of 10 games. All the games were the hard level. It took me 55 minutes and 31 seconds, which put me 8th place in my group. Then a read some of my book on the Kindle.

Relaxing with a good book

In getting the boat ready for winter Larry added fuel stabilizer. After lunch we loaded the boat up and took it to Rogers Park. When we got there we only saw a few boat trailers in the parking lot and there were three people launching their kayaks. According to our gauge the water temperature was 72 degrees so we didn't get in the water. After driving around we took the boat out and wiped it down. We were at the lake about an hour.

We attended two virtual square dances. The first dance was Dayle Hodge's weekly A2 dance at 11:00 for an hour. We had 35 participants. Dayle called four tips, the third tip was a workshop tip. During this tip Dayle went over Left Chain Thru and Quarter Thru from different positions and Any Hand Quarter Thru. Dayle did a super job of calling and cueing us through the dance. We had a great time.

The second dance was Ken Burke weekly A2 dance at 5:30 for an hour. We had only 8 participants and Ken called three tips. Ken is a good caller and puts the dancers in weird positions, which makes the dance challenging. We had a fun time dancing to Ken.

After the second dance we watched a movie on Acorn called The Mystery of a Hansom Cab. It was about a murder that takes place in a hansom cab. It was a good flick with a lot of twist and turns. Then we started to watch the first season of The Yorkshire Vet, Larry did not see all the episodes because I watched them when he went to bed. He like the series and wanted to watch them. When Larry went to bed I watched a couple of episodes of Columbo. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put me in fourth place in my group. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
