Thursday 10-8 Day of Dancing

Smile and have fun

We had a great day of having fun.

In the morning Larry did some research on his next project on the Cameo.

I played my Solitaire games. I did the Daily Challenges and Event: Easy Street of 5 games. It took me 8 minutes and 30 seconds, which put me 12th place in my group. Then a read a bit.

While we were waiting for our first dance. We heard a bird hit the window. It hit hard and it looked like it was going to die. It flickered and then stopped moving but it was still breathing. It laid by the window for about an hour I guess it was knocked out but eventually it tried to fly and didn't get too far. We kept an eye on the bird because Larry thought he might have to kill it because we didn't want it to suffer. It moved under the grill while we danced. After a couple of dances I decided to give the bird some water but it flew off the porch into the lot next door. We were very happy to see that the bird survived hitting the window.

We attended four virtual square dances. The first dance was Dayle Hodge's Weekly C1 Dance at 11:00. We had 24 participants on the zoom screen. Dayle called four tips. Dayle called some of the moves out of positions we don't normally see so it made the dancing challenging. We broke down now and then but we still had fun.

The second dance was Joachim Ruhenbeck C1 Dance at 12:30 for an hour. Joachim doesn't have a dance every week but when he does he makes it challenging. He calls faster than the other callers so you have concentrate, if you fall behind it is hard to catch up so you will breakdown. The nice thing about dancing with Joachim is he has two cameras setup. One of the camera shows Joachim and his wife backs that way you can see where you should be. We had 37 participants. We had a super time.

The third dance was Jeremy Butler's Weekly A2/C1 dance at 6:00 for an hour. We had 19 participants for the four A2 tips. We had 15 participants for the C1 tip. It was a very small group but everyone one had a great time. Jeremy called a great dance.

The fourth dance was Michael Levy's Weekly A2 dance at 7:30 for an hour. We had 15 participants. Michael called five tips. He is a very good caller. He called the calls going to both the right and left. We had fun.

In between the dances Larry worked on a Cameo project. We watched some YouTube videos. After the last dance we watched an episode of The Yorkshire Vet. Then I watched two episode of Columbo, I finished the seventh season and started the eighth season. I ended up doing 23,000 steps, which put me fifth place in my group. We had a great day of having fun.
