Sunday 5-12-24 Happy Mothers' Day, New Pinball Challenge, Puzzle & Jukebox Project

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day. That includes moms and their dogs and cats. WE had a rainy day. The rain came down very hard at times. The rain stopped in the afternoon but it still was very damp.

Rainy day

Larry couldn't work on the Minnie so he spent most of the day working on his new jukebox project. He got the buttons working, he had to do some modifications to the original circuit board and do quite a lot of soldering but in the end the original buttons now work. He also got the lighting to work and he mounted the monitor. There is still a long ways to go but It already looks great.

While Larry worked on his project I worked on The Blue Truck puzzle. Its going to take longer then usual. I usually start by assembling the frame but the frame is in the shape of a truck and the edges aren't straight. It's challenging but fun.

 Puzzle so far

I worked out with the Synth Rider for a half hour.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Event. The event was Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 5 games. It took me 9 minutes and 25 seconds, which put me in 24th place in my group. I played Angry Birds.

Today starts a new pinball challenge, which is Get Away. Larry downloaded the game and installed it on the pinball cabinet in both 2D and VR. My beginning high score was 34,928,310. I came in 8th place out of 9 participants so far. Then I played Fun House and Scared Stiff. While playing Scared Stiff I got the Grand Champion score of 9,240,030.

In the evening we started watching the Mr. Mr. Bates vs The British Post Office series on PBS. It was taken from the documentary of the same name. Then I watched Wonder Woman from our movie collection. I was going to watch Sherlock but it was on BritBox and since we rarely watched it we cancelled our subscription, it ran out today. I ended up doing 16,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group for the week with 118,157 steps.
