Beautiful day
We had a beautiful fall day with sunshine and a little breeze.
About three weeks ago Larry fell and fractured a bone in his elbow. This afternoon he went to see an orthopedic surgeon. After looking at the original x-ray the doctor asked if he could do an updated x-ray to see the progress of the bone. Comparing the two sets of x-rays he told Larry the elbow was healing great and there was no need for surgery. It should continue to improve over the next three to four weeks and he can discontinue using the splint and the sling. Larry also asked about stretching the arm a bit, the doctor told him to continue doing the stretching but be careful not to stretch too far and don't start to lift, pull or push anything heavy until it was healed. The best news was he doesn't have to go back to the orthopedic surgeon and he doesn't need the elbow operated on.
I attended three virtual dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly A2 at 10:00. Di and Terry took turns calling the five tips. When Di called she put four couple moves in the tips, which is great. We had 24 participants. A couple of dancers showed up who hadn't been for a bit because they went back to work. Di workshopped Scoot Chain Thru. I had a super hour of dancing to Di and Terry and friends.
Second was Dayle Hodge's Weekly Plus/DBD at 11:00. Dayle called five tips: three plus tips with 13 participants, one DBD plus tip with 12 participants and one four couples tip with 11 participants. Dayle did an outstanding job of calling and everyone had a great time.
Third was Don Moger's Weekly A2 at 6:00. Don called five tips with 25 participants. In between tips Don played music and the dancers guest on what the song was and who was singing it. It was a lot of fun. I had an outstanding evening dancing to Don and with friends.
In between the the dances I did the Solitaire and Mahjong Daily Challenges. I also did the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Free Cell and 5 Pyramid). It took me 1 hour, 16 minutes and 22 seconds, which put me in 14th place in my group. I continued reading.
Larry hasn't worked on a paper project in a long time. Now that his elbow feels better he's going to try working on a paper project. Every month Dreaming Tree releases a bundle of three projects, if you spend $10.00 or more you get the bundle for free. This month they released a cute Halloween bundle, it includes a witch, jack-o-lantern and a house. Larry liked it so much he bought it.
The paper projects needed brad paper fasteners so on the way home form the orthopedic surgeon we stopped at Hobby Lobby to pick some up.
After Don's dance we watched two more episodes of Call the Midwife on PBS. Then I continued watching the 21st season of Silent Witness. I ended up doing 27,000 steps, which put me in 6th place in my group.
