Bright beautiful flowers in our planter |
The high today was 101 degrees. Even though it was hot it was a beautiful day.
Larry asked me if I wanted to go to lake this morning because there was no wind. I told him not really. He decided to fertilize the yard and spray for bugs. I worked on my Solitaire Daily Challenges and Event: Medium Mayhem Mini of 5 games. It took me 13 minutes and 34 seconds, which put me in 17th in my group.
After lunch we attended Denise Carbonell's weekly Virtual Plus Dance. She invited Jeremy Butler to help her call the dance. We had four tips with a singing call, forty people were Zoomed in. Denise called a couple of four couple moves, they were: Relay the Deucey and Teacup Chain, where the men went inside instead of the ladies. Both Jeremy and Denise did an outstanding job. We had a great time.
When we finished the dance I did some housework. Yesterday, I did the laundry. While I cleaned the house Larry read.
We watched the wildlife in the backyard. Three days ago when Larry changed out the bird feed in the feeder, we put the sunflower seeds in a bowl and put it on the porch to see if the squirrel would find it. Sure enough he showed up today. As he ate the seeds he would throw the shells on the porch. It was cool to watch the squirrel eating the sunflower seeds. We decided it was probably a bad idea to attract them too close to the house so when I watered my flowers I moved the bowl under a tree. Then I blew off the porch.
In the evening we watched an Amazon movie. It wasn't that good because it was a slow moving movie. At 9:30 We attended a Virtual Square Dance with David Mee calling, it was a Plus dance with an A2 tip. David called five tips of Plus and one tip of A2. The dance was for an hour and a half. Kept Larry up past his bed time. There were two round dances in between a couple of the Plus tips. We had a great time. Afterwards I finished watching the third season of The Expanse and started the fourth season. I did 20,000 steps, which put me in third place in my group.
