Saturday 10-5-24 Fall Trip Summary & Having Fun

 

 

Fall Trip

During our Fall Trip we were on the road for 43 days, drove 4048 miles, burned 373 gallons of gas, total spending was $2387 dollars. We visited eight states: Texas (4), Colorado (7), Wyoming (14), Montana (2), South Dakota (11), Nebraska (1), Kansas (2) and Oklahoma (2). We camped in 6 City and County Parks, 3 County Fairgrounds, 2 Walmarts, 3 National Forests, 1 Recreation Area, 1 BLM, 1 National Park, 1 National Monument, 1 National Memorial, 1 State Park and 2 RV Parks. The city and county parks were Hamlin in TX, Texhoma Park in TX, Ainsworth in Nebraska, Concordia in KS, Napawalla in Kansas and Loyd in TX. The County Fairgrounds were Carbon County in WY, Sweet Grass in MT and Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area in WY. The Walmarts were in Salida CO and Cody WY. The National Forests were Matchless in Pike-San Isabel National Forest in CO, Sibley Lake in Bighorn National Forest in WY and three campgrounds in Black Hills Forest. The campgrounds were Rod & Gun, Sheridan Lake and Dutchman. The recreational area was Island Lake in WY. The BLM was Carbella in MT. The National Park was Mammoth in Yellowstone in WY. The National Monument was Devils Tower in WY. We didn’t camp in the National Monument, it was Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The stat park was Custer State Park at Center Lake in SD. The RV parks were Green RV Park in OK and WinStar World Casino RV Park in OK.

Other activities we did during the trip were; about 78 miles of hiking, site seeing, visited two fish hatcheries (Leadville National Fish Hatchery and Spearfish National Fish Hatchery), Jewel Cave, two hot springs (Thermopolis Hot Springs WY and Saratoga Hot Springs WY), a few motorcycle rides, a couple or waterfalls (Spearfish and Roughlock), walking and a lot of wildlife.

We had an outstanding time.

 

Saturday 10-5-24 Just Having Fun

 

We had another day of catching up. We started the day out by going to town to do errands. First stop was at Jack n Jill Donuts for breakfast. Then we went to the post office to restart our mail. We were about 10 minutes early so we ate our donuts while waiting. After starting the mail we went to the UPS Store and picked up the mail. While there Larry renewed our mailbox. Last stop was Walmart to do a little grocery shopping and picking up some oil and oil filter to change the oil in the Minnie.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing.

I played some pinball. The games I played were Dirty Harry, Elvira Party Monsters, Games of Thrones, Great Houdini, Judge Dredd, Metallica and Willy Wonka. I had a super time.

I worked out using Synth Riders for an hour.

We spent the evening catching up on YouTube videos. Then I watched Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group.
