Camping in Baldy Loop
I woke up at 7:00 and we had breakfast.
After taking a day off of hiking we were ready for another hike. We hiked the Henry Lake trail. Today we hiked a little further, we ended up hiking 7.5 miles. As we were hiking we heard a noise in the trees, we looked around and finally saw a squirrel, it was going from branch to branch removing pine cones from each branch and throwing them to the ground. It was very fast moving from branch to branch. This was very interesting because it was the first we had seen this. After hiking for two hours we decided to turn around, right before we did this we saw a group of 8 people and a dog camped in a meadow. They had a huge map on the ground and one of them was explaining how to read it. It looked like it was a class on being out in the wilderness. The trail runs along the South Lottis Creek and at times you can hear it and other times you can’t. We stopped and rested now and then. By the time we got back to the Minnie it was time for lunch.

We spent most of the rest of the day relaxing with a book.
In the evening I walked 6 laps around the campground to get my steps in. By the end of the day I had done 28,500 steps.
