Sunday 2-28 Tie Die Palooza and More

Today was the last day of February. We had an outstanding day of dancing with friends.

Before the dances we did our everyday activities. I did the Daily Challenges and the Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondikes and 5 Spiders). It took me 1 hour, 13 minutes and 52 seconds, which put me in 27th place in my group. Larry continued working on a paper project on the Cameo.

A few years ago we put some artificial flowers in the frontyard, they have faded terribly and need to be replaced. Michael's put flowers on sale today so this morning we went to purchased replacements, we got them for 50% off. I took the old flowers out but at the moment I am enjoying the new ones inside the house.

We attended three virtual dances. First was Doren McBroom's Bi-Monthly DBD at 1:30 for an hour and a half. This week Doren invited Dayle Hodge to come and help him call. We had 35 participants. Doren and Dayle both called three tips a piece. We had a few new dancers so there were a lot of cuing and it wasn't too complex but we had a great time.

The second one was a special dance called Tie Die Palooza, where a lot of dancers wore tie die outfits. Glen and Char Larson's dog Denali was the mascot, they looked great. The dance was for two hours from 3:00 to 5:00. It was a Mainstream, Plus and A2 dance and 9 different callers called the dance. There were over 100 folks who Zoomed in. The callers were Karin Rabe from New Jersey, Dayle Hodge from Maryland, Betsy Gotta from New Jersey, Di Green from the U.K., Greg Moore from New Jersey, Kevin Lovell from the U.K., Terri Sherrer from California, Ett McAtee from Maryland and Patty Greene from North Carolina. We danced five Mainstream tips, three Plus tips and two A2 tips. The Mainstream and Plus tips had singing calls and I danced by myself. Larry danced the A2 tips with me. We had super time dancing with all our friends and callers.

The third dance was Loren Smith's Weekly A2/C1 at 7:30 for and hour and fifteen minutes. This week Loren invited Doren McBroom to come and help call the dance. We had 37 participants for the A2 tips and 33 participants for the C1 tips. We danced three A2 tips, one C1 learn tip and two C1 tips. During the C1 learn tip Loren went over Pass the Axle. We had a fun evening dancing to Loren and Doren.

After the dance we watched an episode of GizWiz. Then I finished watching Tin Star. I ended up doing 25,000 steps, which put me in fifth place in my group for the week with 183,063 steps.
