Wednesday 8-12 Making More Flowers

Jumping for joy

It got to 103 degrees at the house. We hung around the house playing with the Cameo and dancing.

Our Cameo machine has two different positions for cutters, the second position is suppose to work using a Kraft cutter or a Rotary cutter. These cutters are for heavier items. We have a Kraft blade and Larry has tried repeatedly to get it to work but no matter what he did it simply would not work. The Cameo is made by Silhouette, the only support they have is either via their website or Facebook Messenger. Larry submitted a support ticket via the website and after a couple of days of not hearing back he resorted to Facebook Messenger, they had him download and install some brand new software, that software than offered him the opportunity to update the firmware on the Cameo, after all that his problem was fixed. The company gets points for getting the problem fixed but loses points for having the problem in the first place and not having a better support system.

We attended two virtual dances. The first dance was Dayle Hodge's weekly A2 for an hour. He called with Don Moger. We had 67 people participating in the dance via Zoom. Dayle and Don did another great job. Dayle called two tips, Don called one tip and the last tip they called together. The third tip was a workshop tip where Dayle walked us through Box Transfer and Switch to a Diamond and Wave. Everyone had fun.

The second dance was Ken Burke A2 for an hour. This was the first virtual dance that Ken had done so there were a few bugs. This was our first time dancing to him and we liked him very much. We had 17 people participating in the dance.

After the second dance we zoomed in on Doren McBroom weekly C1 dance. This week he invited Chris Jenson to co-call. We only did a couple of tips because we kept breaking down. The moves were too complex for us, we kept getting confused.

In between the dances I did my daily challenges and The Event. The Event was called Easy Street, where there were 30 games to solve. Today was Event Day, which meant the games solved in the event the points were doubled. It took me 1 hour, 8 minutes and 47 seconds, which put me in 25th place in my group.

Before and after the dances we made paper flowers using the Cameo machine. We made 6 daisies and three carnations. The carnations were very difficult to make because you had form each pedal before you rolled the flower. The flowers came out very good, now we have to decided what to do with them.

While making flowers we watched an episode of GizWiz. When Larry went to bed I watched a movie off of Peacock, the movie was Rush Hour 3. After the movie I watched a couple episodes of The Yorkshire Vet. I ended up doing 23,300 steps but my Garmin had problems loading my data so it only gave me credit for 20,000 steps.
