Saturday 8-15 Making Flowers and Having Fun

Just having fun

We had a wonderful day. We stayed indoors and kept cool.

Yesterday afternoon we received an e-mail from the UPS Store that said we had a package waiting for us, this morning we went to town to pick it up. It was from Larry's mom (Shirley). Larry and I have birthdays coming up and the package was gifts. Along with the gifts Shirley sent us some goodies (fudge, cashews and cookies). We spent the day snacking on the goodies. They were delicious. Thank you, Shirley.

When we got home I did my daily challenges and The Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 games of Spider and 3 games of Tri Peaks). It took me 16 minutes and 50 seconds, which put me 21st place in my group.

We spent the afternoon making more flowers on the Cameo. This time we made four Marigolds. They were more complex and took a little longer. They had five strips of leaves and four round sets of pedals. The four round sets you had to form into bowls and then glue them together. This makes the outer part of the flower. The five strips you had to glue together to form one strip, then you had to roll the strip to form the center of the flower. The flowers came out great.

After making the flowers we watched some YouTube videos and an episode of GizWiz.

In the evening we watched the first episode of the 7th season of Endeavour. Then I watched a couple of movies on Acorn. The first movie was New In Town, it was a romantic movie about a Miami Florida businesswoman. She is assigned to a new job in a small Minnesota town and has to change her lifestyle to the town. It starred Renee Zellweger and Harry Connor Jr. I liked the movie. The second movie was Law Abiding Citizen, which was a thriller about a man takes the law in his own hands after a murder of his family is released from prison. It starred Gerald Butler and Jamie Foxx. I ended up doing 28,000 steps.
