Saturday 8-8-26 Cleaning Equinox, Jukebox Project, Mowing & More

Beautiful Saturday

We had a beautiful Saturday even though it was hot and humid. The morning temperature was 74 degrees. The was 100 degrees with 33% humidity, which made it feel like 106 degrees.

In the morning Larry finished our movies project of adding subtitles. He couldn't get 4 movies subtitles to work but he was successful in getting the other 258 movies to work. That is outstanding.

We went to town to go to HEB to pickup a few things. On the way there we stopped at Mister Car Wash and gave the Equinox a bath, it had a film on the passenger side. We didn't know where it picked it up at. But we think it was when it was in the shop getting the air conditioner fixed. The shop is located on a dusty lot with other buildings. We usually take it to Today's Car Wash but the last time we went there it cost us $11.99 for the basic wash. Today at Mister Car Wash it cost $8.00 for the basic wash. The car wash did clean most of the film off. After stopping at HEB we went home.

When we got home I cleaned the front seats of the Equinox with the new Vacmaster Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner Machine. Before using the upholstery cleaner machine we sprayed down the seats with some spot remover spray bottles from Folex and Stanley we had hanging around the house. Then we filled the upholstery cleaner machine with the cleaner it came with and hot water. Then the project began. I sprayed the seat with the sprayer and sucked up as much of the water I could. Larry noticed there was a lite breeze so he parked the Equinox in the driveway so the sun and breeze could dry the seats. They look a lot better. It took about 45 minutes to do.

While I did this project Larry mowed the frontyard and part of the north side of the backyard. The mowers are coming Thursday but the grass was pretty high.

Larry also checked out how his clover was doing. A week ago he treated the clover to get rid of it. Apparently we have two different kinds, they actually look a bit different. The clover with the larger leaves is all disappearing but a lot of the clover in the frontyard doesn't seem to be dying, it has smaller leaves, they have developed white spots but don't seem to be dying. Larry did a great job of mowing.

Larry started a new electronic project, he is going to try installing Windows on a Raspberry Pi. He has a number of Raspberry Pi's but only one of the faster ones and it is installed in a jukebox. He had a slower one he was not using so he had to swap it out, not as easy as it sounds since some of the wiring is different and the software is totally different. He did get that accomplished so he now has a Raspberry Pi 5 to play with. He loves to work on new stuff with electronics.

After lunch I worked out with the Wii Fit Plus for 30 minutes. I did the routine for 24 minutes and 6 minutes with two other exercises (Rhythm Boxing for 4 minutes and Perfect 10 twice for 2 minutes). The routine had 12 different exercises, which were one exercise from the Aerobic (Hula Hoop), four exercises from the Strength Training (Balance Bridge 6 reps, Lunges 10 reps, Row Squats 15 reps and Sideways Leg-Lift 10 reps), two exercises from Training Plus (Obstacle Course and Snowball Fight) and five exercises from Yoga (Downward Facing Dog, Half-Moon, Palm Tree, Standing Knee and Sun Salutation). The other 6 minutes I did two exercises, which were one exercise from Aerobic (Rhythm Boxing for 4 minutes) and one exercise from Training Plus (Perfect 10 twice for 2 minutes). It was a great workout.

I did six songs for 20 minutes, which were The Other Side, She Wolf (Falling TO Pieces), Gentleman, Troublemaker, Rich Girl and Feel The Moment. I had a good workout and fun.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Spider and 3 Free Cell). It took me 18 minutes and 7 seconds to complete, which put me in 19th place. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Batman Forever, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash and Pirate's Life. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Big Buck Hunter Pro, Cirqus Voltaire, Elvira Scared Stiff and The Beach Boys. I had fun playing pinball.

In the evening we watched the next super hero movie from our collection, which was Ant Man. When Larry went to bed I watched the seventh Harry Potter movie, which was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

I ended up doing 5,000 steps. I worked on my jigsaw puzzle the Horse of Iron.

We had a busy day having fun.
