Awesome Day
We had an awesome day.
We attended Dayle Hodge's Weekly C1 at 11:00. Dayle called five tips with 17 participants. He called four two couple tips and one four couple tip. We have been dancing to Dayle virtually for two years and continue to enjoy it. Today the dance was a lot of fun. He made it very challenging by calling moves he usually doesn't call. He sight calls and when he sees the dancers are keeping up he adds more difficult moves. When we breakdown he'll walk us through the moves we're having problem with. We had an outstanding time dancing with friends.
I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong and the Event: Spider Adventure of 20 games. It took me 5 hours, 12 minutes and 6 seconds, which put me in 24th place in my group.
Last week Larry discovered the motorcycle was not running very well, he changed out the fuel and added some fuel additive and it ran perfectly. Today he went to take it for a ride and it would not start. In trying to figure out what was wrong he found that a critter had been storing a lot of birdseed in the air filter, weird because the motorcycle is in the garage and the birdseed is in a closed container. He checked out the wiring of the motorcycle to make sure the critter didn't chew any of them. He used a bit of starting fluid and it started. When he got back from the ride the bike was running great but he will have to try it out a few more times before he is confident it will stay starting.
A couple days ago Larry received a text from our neighbor Thomas. He said they were traveling and forgot to cancel their food delivery order, he asked us to pickup the order from his porch and said we were welcome to keep the order. Larry wrote him and said we would be more than happy to hold on to the food. Thomas said it was fresh food and he again said to keep it and enjoy. Yesterday, the food was delivered. It was from Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon. The box was heavy and was full of food and huge ice packs. The box had all the ingredients and detailed instructions for five full meals and a dessert, everything was included, even the chicken, fish and beef. Today I prepared one dinner and the dessert. I made the Crispy Sour Cream & Onion Chicken, this was a boneless chicken breasts coated with oniony sauce and panko fried until it's golden brown. It was served with roasted fingerling potatoes and fresh broccoli. For dessert I made the Pink Lady Apple Crisp, which was made with apples, brown sugar and warm spice and covered with a crispy oats topping. They both came out delicious.
Of course we have heard of these types of food delivery services but this is our first experience with one and we are impressed. Everything is fresh and of very high quality. Along with being much more varied than what we normally eat they are also much healthier. So nice of our neighbor to gift this to us!
