Saturday 3-12 Saturday Night Fever & More

Hanging out with friends

We had a great day. The day started off at 24 degrees, very cold but a lot of sunshine and no wind. It got into the mid 50s but since there was no wind it was very comfortable.

Yesterday, Larry was doing some maintenance on the Minnie and found that the house battery was leaking. This morning he ordered one online from Auto Zone. It was ready to be picked up about a half hour later.

On the way to get the battery we stopped by Walmart to pick up a very things.

Larry wanted to wait until it got a little warmer outside to replace the battery. While waiting he charged the battery because it had been sitting on the shelf for a few months. After lunch he removed the old battery and found there was a hole worn through on the bottom. Before putting the new battery in the cubby hole Larry cleaned it out with a lot of water and neutralized it with some baking soda, he then put a thick piece of rubber on the bottom for the new battery to sit on. This should prevent the battery from moving around and instead of sitting on hard plastic it will have a bit of cushion. Then Larry started the generator to make sure the battery was working correctly. It worked great. He turned off the generator and put the garden hose away.

Larry also started up the motorcycle. It started right up. He'll try again in a couple of days.

I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong and the Event: Pyramid Adventure of 20 games. It took me 51 minutes and 10 seconds, which put me in 6th place in my group.

I vacuumed the house and cleaned the bathrooms.

Doing housework

We attended Don Moger's Saturday Night Fever dance at 6:00. Dayle Hodge and Don called three tips of A2 with 30 participants and three tips of C1 Class Level with 29 participants. Dayle and Don called a tip of A2 and C1 by themselves and the third tip of A2 and C1 together. Don and Dayle work very well together. They joke around and keep everyone laughing. We had a super night of dancing to Don and Dayle and with friends.

After the dance we started watching a new detective series on Brit Box called Murder In Provence. We watched the first episode. Then we watched an episode of Death In Paradise. Then I finished watching the third season of New Tricks. I ended up 27,000 steps, which put me in in 3rd place in my group
