Friday 4-17 Monitor Stand

Cloudy day

Larry woke up to sunshine but it didn't stay around, the clouds came in and stayed in all day.

The other day I wrote that Larry was trying out a bigger monitor for our security cameras. The monitor has been sitting on top of our laptop on the desk, not something that can continue. He decided he would build a shelf and put it on the file cabinet that holds the printer. Larry has quite a bit of scrap pieces of wood leftover from old project that he keeps stored in the garage. He looked through the pile and decided the boards from our old waterbed would work. First he cut the pieces to the size using his meter saw. Then using a jig saw he cut a slot in one of the piece for the monitor cords. Next he sanded the pieces down by hand. He screwed the boards together to see how the shelf looked. It looked perfect. Then he stained the pieces. The final step is to screw the pieces back together once the stain is dried.

While Larry was doing this project I did my daily challenges and Event: Klondike Adventures of 20 games. It took me 1 hour, 8 minutes and 4 seconds, which put me in 13th place in my group. I helped Larry when he needed me.

The last two days our internet has gone out a few times, this is very unusual, over the years our internet has been extremely reliable. In the evening while we were steaming Batiste our internet went down. Larry ended up connecting us to our mobile hotspot so we could finish Baptiste. The internet was down about a half hour, when it came back up Larry reconnected us back to our cable internet. Then we watched an episode of Eureka. Then I finished watching the second season of Jack Ryan. I did 20,000 steps.
