It rained on and off all day so we stayed at the house. We watched this week's GizWiz on YouTube and some YouTube videos on RV'ing. On PBS we watched a couple of detective mysteries. While watching television I made a new Betty Crocker side dish called Suddenly Grain Salad. We have tried the Suddenly Salads before but we thought it would be nice to try something different. It was easy to fix, took about a half hour. It comes in two packages, one package had the brown rice, quinoa, with black beans, corn and red peppers, the other was the seasoning for the chipolte vinaigrette (just add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of water). After making it I put it in the refrigerator to chill and we tried it out for dinner, it was good. In the evening the Olympics had closing ceremonies but we decided to watch a couple of movies on Amazon. The first one was Mr. Holmes, it was about Sherlock Holmes when he retired. We had watched this awhile back but enjoyed watching it again. The second movie was the documentary, Spirit of the Pony Express, it was about the 150th anniversary celebration of the Pony Express. A group of people get together every year and re-enact the route the Pony Express took when it exist between 1860-1861. It was interesting to learn about the Pony Express. When we weren't watching television we read. We had a very lazy day.
