Making Ice Cream |
It rained for the entire day. This morning we went to the Cinemark Theatre in Temple to watch Star Trek Beyond. There were only eight of us in the theater so we certainly didn't have to fight over where to sit. We own the first two movies of Star Trek and enjoy watching them, we didn't feel this one was as good, it wasn't horrible but it was all action with very little time devoted to the characters, maybe I'm being too critical. After the movie we went to Chili's for lunch where we had their delicious Beef Nachos. We then swung by the post office to mail out a book before heading to the UPS Store to get our wills notarized and pick up our mail. Afterwards we went to HEB to pick up stuff to make ice cream.

Once we were at home we stayed home. I made chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I was only going to make one batch but decided to do two considering I already had the ice cream maker out. It takes between 25 to 40 minutes per batch. A few weeks ago when we were grocery shopping Larry decided to pick up the ice cream mix we use. He was surprised that HEB only had one box of Dark Chocolate and a few boxes of Very Vanilla. So we picked up the chocolate and three vanillas. Today when I made the chocolate ice cream I put the box of chocolate and a box of vanilla together, when the machine stopped it tasted great. Now we're waiting for the two batches to harden. We watched a little bit of the Olympics while I made the ice cream. After we watched the news on the television we streamed some YouTube videos until the Olympics resumed. When the Olympics were finished for the night I worked on my puzzle. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!
