Bass Pro Shops |
Have you ever been to a Bass Pro Shops? We have been meaning to go but never took the time. This morning we had a break in the rain so we decided to visit the one in Round Rock. We left Flo at the house, figured she would be happier there. On the way we stopped by Jack & Jill and bought donuts for our breakfast. When we lived in Austin we went to Cabela's a few times, it was very impressive with tremendous displays of wildlife and a huge fresh water aquarium. This Bass Pro Shops seemed to be a takeoff of Cabela's except their displays of wildlife and aquarium appeared to be a bit smaller, their stock of hunting and fishing items is pretty similar. The displays were very nice and they have a great mural of Lake Austin. We ended up buying a couple of shirts. We had fun walking through the store, it took us about an hour. There is also a bowling alley and grill called Uncle Buck's Fish Bowl & Grill. By the time we got back to Belton it was lunchtime so we stopped by a new restaurant called Fuzzy's Taco Shop. We shared a Fajita Beef Nachos, don't know what they were thinking, instead of a normal cheddar or american cheese they used some kind of cheese sauce that reminded you of an alfredo sauce, without that the nachos would have been very good.

We spent the rest of the day at the house. Larry and I read. For dinner we had a Swiss cheese burger. After dinner I made potato salad for tomorrow. We watched YouTube videos and The Olympics. Then I read and played computer games. We had a fun day of visiting new places.
