8-4 TIPS 2nd Anniversary Dance

Anniversary celebration with the TIPS club
This morning we woke up and decided to go boating. We had checked out the boat ramp on Lake Belton by the marina yesterday and found it to be usable so today we gave it a try. Before launching the boat Larry checked it out again, once he was satisfy he launched the boat. The boat ramp is pretty well protected from the wind. The dock was still under water so I had to pick Larry up off the ramp. He had to climb over the front of the boat, he told me it wasn't easy 10 years ago and it's not any easier now. Once he was on board we headed out of the marina cove. The lake was a little rough caused by the wind so we drove around to check out the lake. We were just going to hang out in the area by the marina but we saw the ramp at Arrowhead Point was open so we decided to drive around to see about other ramps. The ramps at Temple Lake Park and Rogers Park were out of the water but they were still not open. The Corps of Engineer is waiting to open the ramps until the blacktop has a chance to dry. We drove to the water plant on the lake and I took a few pictures of its waterfall. It was a rough ride but we had fun on the lake.

When we returned home we said hi to Flo and changed out of our bathing suits, then I mowed the backyard, it took me 45 minutes. While I was doing this Larry vacuumed out the car. After lunch I took a nap and worked on my puzzle. We watched a few YouTube videos.

In the evening we met up with Louis and went to the TIPS 2nd Anniversary Dance. The caller tonight was the Killeen Kickers caller Dan Clairmont. There were enough people for three squares and a few extra. Dan called eight tips with one song in between tips. We had a super time dancing with friends.
