| Keeping cool |
We woke up to wind. Tonight's weather report said we have now had 6 days of 100+ degrees, I think it's going to be a hot windy summer.
I made Perfect for 1 Cinnamon Coffee Cakes for breakfast. After breakfast Larry put a coat of urethane on the box he built yesterday, he has to wait a few hours before applying another coat.
Yesterday Larry had removed a shelf from his workroom that has a built in blue tooth speaker system, he decided to rebuild the shelf into two speaker boxes that he could put above our kitchen cabinets to use with the Alexa Tablet. For this to work he cut the shelf into two smaller pieces with a speaker in each piece, he had to be careful not to cut the speaker wires or damage anything. He also had to build and install covers on the ends of two pieces, this would close up the box protecting the speakers and wires from damage. He installed one speaker on top of the cabinet where the tablet is and the other one was installed on top of the cabinet by the refrigerator. The last step was to get the speakers to work via the tablet. The speakers work great, they sound really good and the tablet now can hear us better.

During the afternoon I worked on my annual book and my jigsaw puzzle. Larry read.
In the evening we watched two episodes of Endeavour on PBS. This year PBS decided rather than adding one new episode each week they would release the entire season at one time. That way you can watch the series at your own leisure. Endeavour's fifth season started last Sunday and if you watch it normally it will take six weeks but all six episodes are ready to be streamed. We also watch another series called Tunnel, its third and final season will start tomorrow but it's ready to be streamed. I really like this new method. I also baked more homemade cookies. I baked the Crispy Butterscotch Cookies but instead of using butterscotch chips I used white chocolate chips. They came out delicious. We had a super day.
