Friday 7-6 What did we do today?

What did we do today?

Larry has been reading a lot of paperback books lately and they have been piling up. This morning we wanted to go to the Temple Library and donate them for the fund raising book sale they have twice a year. The library doesn't open until 10:00 so we stopped in Belton at the UPS Store to pick up a package, then we walked over to Walmart. After that we headed to Temple and arrived at the library at exactly 10.00.

When we got home Larry opened the package we had picked up, it was a couple of used motorcycle seat foams and covers. One of the folks on the motorcycle forum Larry follows had offered them up for free, we only had to pay for the shipping. The seat on our motorcycle angles downward causing me to slide down. Larry wanted to experiment on making the seat flatter. After lunch he started to modify one of the seat foams he received. He is reshaping the foam with scissors and a belt sander to make it flatter. It is a slow process and he has to be careful not to remove too much material. While he was working on the motorcycle seat I worked on my puzzle.

We have been have fun playing with different cookie recipes from All Recipes. Today I used a recipe from them to make Sweet Teriyaki Beef Skewers. I started making this dish yesterday, the meat had to marinade for 24 hours. Today I put the meat on bamboo skewers and cooked them on the grill for 12 minutes. It is a very easy recipe, the meat came out very tender and tasted delicious.

In the evening we started watching the second season of Goliath but only watched the first episode, it was slow moving and the language was offensive. We decided to start another series The Last Post, it is a British military show that takes place in the mid-60s. Will have to see if we like it or not. Then I finished my steps, I did 14,000 steps. We had a super day.
