Happy Friday the 13th |
We had a super Friday of doing this and that. The first thing we did was go to town to do our weekly grocery shopping and pick up our mail.
Later in the morning Larry fertilized the yard. Our yards are looking pretty good but the high temperatures are starting to take a toll. Irrigating with city water really helps but a rain shower makes a tremendous difference, unfortunately the forecast for the next week is 100 degree days and no rain.
After lunch Larry went back to the motorcycle seat project. He stapled the modified seat cover to the plastic base. As he stapled the cover he had to stretch the vinyl to fit, some places it was more complicated than others. After the cover was on he used his heat gun to remove some wrinkles and then he reassembled the seat on the motorcycle. The seat came out excellent. We'll test it out in the next day or two.

The finished project |
While Larry finished up the seat I finished assembling my jigsaw puzzle Summer Pier.

After Larry finished his project he played with the Fire Tablet. Yesterday, Amazon updated the Fire Tablet so it works like the Amazon Echo Show. Larry couldn't get the Fire to do an option that the Show will do so he called the help line. They explained that the tablet can't do that function. Even though Amazon calls this new update "Show Mode" and publicized the tablet will work like an Echo Show Larry has now discovered two things it will not do, maybe in the future they will update the code. Larry is just having fun playing.
For dinner we tried something new. HEB is starting to make meals to go called Simple Meals. We tried the chicken chunks with marinara and mozzarella dish. It was very good. In the evening we finished watching the series A Very English Scandal. We had a busy day finishing up projects and have fun. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
