Tuesday 7-14-26 Rain & Doing This and That

Shirley congratulations on your new addition to the family. 

We had an overcast morning with the temperature of 75 degrees, The high was 81 degrees at 10 am when the rain came. 

It rained in sheets for an hour and the rain stayed around through out the day. It rained so hard that the creek at the back of our backyard was running. When Jason built the house north of us Larry made sure they put in drainage to help prevent rain from running across our backyard, the drainage works well. Jason sold the house to Marcos, it has a cool gutter system and it works super. I don't know how much rain we got but it was a lot.

I needed new jeans because I out grew my old ones. Amazon has their own brand so Larry ordered me a pair. He had to get it bigger than I needed because they didn't have the size I needed. They were suppose to come in Saturday but was delayed. They came in Sunday. I tried them on yesterday and they fit great. Larry said if I didn't like them he would wear them. We wear the same size in jeans. The weird thing was they were just coming from Round Rock. The jeans are very comfortable because the waist line is flexible, which made it fit comfortable.

Larry spent the morning working on the new camera he got for Zoom. He had been doing some research on the camera and found some settings to try on it. He tried changing the settings and compared the camera we use now to the new camera. He found out that our camera still looks far better. He still is looking for a camera.

In the afternoon he did some paper crafting. He had the file but the video for it had to be removed from the website because of copywrite problems. He had to make it from memory. 

While Larry was doing his projects I played games and worked out. 

I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 1 hour, 43 minutes and 5 seconds to complete, which put me in 25th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I worked out on the Wii Fit for 45 minutes. I had the Wii Fit Plus do it's routine. It had 12 exercises for 31 minutes, which were two exercise from Aerobics (Advance Step and Rhythm Boxing), one exercise from Balance Games (Lotus Focus), six exercises from Training Plus (Big Top Juggler, Snowball Fight, Obstacle Course, Rhythm Kung Fu, Bird's Eye Bull's Eye and Skateboard Arena) and three exercises from Yoga (Deep Breathing, Chair and Triangle). I did four exercises from the Strength Training for 13 minutes (Single-Leg Extensions 20 reps for 3 minutes, Torse Twist 6 reps for 3 minutes, Lunges 20 reps for 4 minutes and Balance Board 10 reps for 3 minutes) and one exercise from the Training Plus for 1 minute (Perfect 10) to make the 45 minutes. It was a great workout.

I worked out with Just Dance for 30 minutes with Just Dance 3 to the Duets Menu. Where you choose what dancer you wanted be from a couple.

I worked out for 30 minutes on the Synth Riders to four songs twice, which were Code War, Phoenix, You Know That That You Love Me and Wolves. While working out with You Know That You Love Me I earned 2 outstanding scores and Wolves I earned 1 outstanding and 1 new high score. I had a great workout.

I played ten games of pinball games. I played five on the mini cabinet, which were Jaws, Mission Impossible, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Goonies and Willy Wonka. While playing Willy Wonka I became high score #2. I played five games on the big cabinet, which were AC/DC, Beetle Juice, JP Space Cadet, Star Fox and The Godfather. While playing AC/DC I became Grand Champion and a new high score in the weekly challenge. My score was 12,422,240, which put me in 48th place out of 51 participants.

In the evening we finished watching Spider-Noir on Amazon. It was a great series. I hope it comes back for a next season. 

At dinnertime we had a family of deer show up. The family was a doe and twin fawns. They stayed around for over two hours. They ate a little grass and laid down. The fawns were nursing a little but mostly the doe let them eat the grass and do their own thing. She wasn't too far away.

After watching Spider-Noir Larry was looking at what shows Amazon offers. We use to subscribe to Acorn via Amazon and Acorn has some new episodes of series that I like. We cancelled both Acorn and Brit Box because we weren't using them. By doing so we saved $18.38 per month. We stopped back in June of 2025. Acorn is now $9.99 a month and you get a week for free. Larry signed us up so when he went to bed I started watching the 4th season of Harry Wild. After this season I have season 5. Harry Wild is a woman private detective series. I ended up doing 5,000 steps.

While watching television I worked on Horse of Iron. I have done the bottom part of the frame. I can't do this puzzle the way I did the other puzzles because of the shape, which is a train.
