Friday 7-17-26 Muggy Day, Mammogram, Crafting & More

It's Friday celebrate with a happy dance

We had another muggy day. The morning temperature was 75 degrees and the high temperature was 94 degrees at 5:00 pm and felt like 107 degrees because of of the humidity.

We started the day out by going to Killeen for my appointment to get a mammogram. Larry tried to schedule it in Temple but he could only get me in at the clinic in Killeen. He scheduled it way back before my annual wellness appointment in February. I'm glad I'm healthy and don't have to see a doctor in a hurry because it's so hard to get in to see one. My appointment was at 8:40 am, this is early for me because I don't get out of bed until 8:00 am  or 8:15 am. It takes about a half hour to get to Killeen because it's 20 miles from the house. It didn't take long, I was in and out within 10 minutes.

On the way home we stopped at the UPS Store to check our mail. While there we went to Walmart to pickup a few things. I have been using a small towel to wipe down the shower everytime we shower and it's looking pretty shabby. The other day Larry went on Amazon and looked for a towel basically the same size as the one I use. He found some similar but not exactly what we wanted. While we were in Walmart we walked around and looked at the towels for sports and baths. We really didn't find exactly what we wanted but we bought two that we liked. We hadn't had breakfast so we walked around the bakery. Very few bakery goods in Walmart are baked in the store, most come in frozen. We saw some pies (cholate pie delight, apple pie delight and cheese pie delight, that said they were baked in the store. We picked up a chocolate pie delight and an apple pie delight. Each container has two pies in them. The chocolate pie delight was in the warming bin so it was still warm, we ate them on the way home. Usually we don't like the donuts in Walmart bakery but the chocolate pie delight were good.  After shopping at Walmart we went home.

By the time we got home it  was almost lunchtime. We had soup for lunch and for our dessert we had the apple pie delights. We put icing on the apple pie delights. They were delicious.

Larry made a greeting card on his Cameo. While he waited for me to get up he cut out the pieces for the card. When we got back from Killeen he went through his font file and decided on what font to use. Once he decided on the front he cut the salutation out. It took him a bit because he customed designed a project that he bought years ago from Dreaming Tree. In the afternoon he assembled the card.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango of 20 games (10 Klondike and 10 Free Cell). It took me 1 hour, 49 minutes and 35 seconds to complete, which put me in 10th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2. 

I worked out with the Wii Fit for 31 minutes. I did two exercises from the Aerobics menu for 12 minutes (Rhythm Boxing for 8 minutes and Super Hula Hoop for 4 minutes). I did five exercises from the Strength Training menu for 13 minutes ( Sideways Leg Lift 20 reps for 2 minutes, Single-Leg Extension 20 reps for 3 minutes, Single Leg Lift 20 reps for 2 minutes, Torso Twist 6 reps for 3 minutes and Tricep Extensions 20 reps for 3 minutes). I did two exercises from the Training Plus menu for 6 minutes (Obstacle Course once for 3 minutes and Snowball Fight twice for 3 minutes). I had a good workout. I'm still resting my knee a little bit.

I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Cirqus Voltaire, Dark Chaos, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Goonies. While playing The Goonies I became high score #2. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were AC/DC, Elvira's House of Horrors Red Blood Kiss, Tales of the Arabian Nights and The Godfather. I didn't get on the board on the big cabinet. I had a good time playing pinball.

In the evening we watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which was the sequel to Beetlejuice. It was a 2024 movie. It was just as funny and good. After Larry went to bed I continued watching fifth season of My Life Is Murder. I ended up doing 4,000 steps.

While I watched television I worked on Horse of Iron.
