Summertime Fun
We had a beautiful sunny day. Summer is differently here with the high of 98 degrees and the morning temperature of 73 degrees.
We usually have a Monday morning C1 dance with Di Green and Terry McCann but for the next two weeks there won't be one because their in Germany for the European Square Dancing Convention. That's ok because it gave us a chance to do what ever we want.
Larry did a couple of projects in the frontyard.
First was straightening the landscaping border around the oak tree. The border is a metal band that goes around the tree. We installed it years ago. Over years of mowing it has gotten hit many times causing it to be out of alignment and bent. Larry worked on it for about an hour, he got it back together by drilling holes at the connection points and using screws. He also used a huge pair of pliers to bend some of it back into shape. It once again looks great.

Next he moved over to the other side of the yard to work on a sprinkler. A couple of weeks ago Larry discovered someone had drove over it and it was broken. Hi did a quick repair to get it working so today he dug it up and replaced it. Years ago he had used some extensions to get it high enough to spray above the grass. Today he replaced the old 4" popup and extensions with a 6" popup. He dug it up, replaced it and then filled the hole back in He then had to adjust the spray so it covered the area right. He also made sure the other sprinklers in the zone worked correctly. They work perfect.
I'm very lucky to have Larry around to do a lot of projects that need to be done. Thank you Larry.
While Larry did his projects I played games. I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Tri Peaks Mini of 10 games. It took me 2 hours, 34 minutes and 18 seconds to complete, which put me in 21st place in my group. I got stuck on the last game. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.
In the afternoon I worked out for an hour and forty-five minutes.
I worked out for 45 minutes on the Wii Fit using the Wii Fit Plus Routine of 12 exercise for 28 minutes and the other 17 minutes I used Training Plus (Perfect 10 for 2 minutes), Aerobics (Rhythm Boxing for 8 minutes) and Balance Games for 7 minutes (Table Tilt 4 minutes and Balance Bubble three times for 3 minutes). The Wii Fit Plus Routine was four Strength Training exercises (Jackknife, Lunge 10 reps, Single-Leg Extension 6 reps and Tricep Extension 10 reps), four Training Plus exercises (Island Cycling, Obstacle Course and Rhythm Parade) and five Yoga exercises (Chair, Palm Tree, Tree, Triangle and Warrior), I had a super workout.
