Sunrise

 

We woke up at 5:30 to get an early start. We got dressed and put things away. Then we had a quick breakfast. We made sure everything was secure. Larry unplugged us and started the Minnie. I put in the step. We were on the road a little before 6:00. We were on the road for an hour and a half before the sun came up.

 

Today Larry drove 304 miles to get us home. The ride home was mainly two lane highways through small towns.We drove highway 190 to Lometa, where we picked up 183. Then we took 183 to Lampasas, where we picked up 190 again. When we got to Fort Cavazos ( Fort Hood) we picked up I14 to Nolanville. Where we took another two lane highway home. 

 

As we were driving 190 from Iraac we saw a strip of flashing red lights, we weren't sure what they were because it was dark. I knew they weren't an airport because there were too many of them. As we got closer we figured out they were lights on windmills to warn airplanes. We were surprised that this section carried a steady flow of traffic since it was only 6:00 in the morning. When the sun came up we saw a lot of deer, ranches with cattle, sheep and horses. When we got to Brady we drove through the square where we saw a beautiful courthouse. We got home at 11:45.

We parked the Minnie in the driveway. While we were gone the construction crew had tripped the breaker in the garage so they plugged into the RV power. Because the breaker was tripped we couldn't open the garage door. Larry had to unlock the front door to get in the garage. When they wired into the RV power they turned off the septic system and air conditioner. The septic company came by to inspect the system but with it powered off they couldn't do it. Once Larry got the system running he called the company and explained what happened.

 

While Larry was getting things done in the house. I started to unloaded the Minnie. When he finished he helped. It took us a couple of hours to finish. We did take a lunch break. 

 

After resting I played one game of pinball, which was Who Dunnit. Larry played Cirqus Voltaire. I did a few loads of clothes and will finish the laundry tomorrow.

After dinner we unloaded the motorcycle and put it in the garage. We took the carrier off the Minnie and put it in the garage.

 

Larry started to catch up on his YouTube videos. 

 

It was a perfect day to work on unloading the Minnie because it was nice and cool.
