Friday 10-20-23 Trying Something New & Catching Up

 

Happy Friday

We had a wonderful day. We spent the day catching up.

We started the day out by going outside. Larry cleaned up the motorcycle because after being hauled around on the back of the Minnie for eight weeks it was filthy. He also washed the straps and cover. While Larry worked on the motorcycle I cleaned the inside of the Minnie. It took us the whole morning. 

In the afternoon I read for a couple of hours and worked on my diamond painting project, Groot. 

Yesterday when Larry went through the mail he came across a notice for jury notice. He thought he was summoned for jury duty last year. He went through my blogs and found out he was correct. In Texas if you have served on a jury in the last 24 months you can be excused. He went on the website and filled out the form. At the end he was excused because of the two year exemption.

At 4:00 we went to town to do a couple of errands. We also received our property taxes statement in the mail. First stop was at the appraisal building to pay them. Larry wasn't inside long, he said there was a line and only one person working. Weird since we have never seen a line there before. Next stop was the post office to mail a couple of things. The last stop was at Little Caesars to pick up a Hot-N-Ready 4-quarter calzony. The 4-quarter calzony has four meats in it and each corner had a different meat, pepperoni, ham, bacon and Italian sausage. We had half of it for dinner and it was delicious.

We continued catching up on our YouTube videos.

In the evening we watched the first part of American Buffalo on PBS. It's a two part documentary by Ken Burns about the American Buffalo. As with all Ken Burns documentaries it is well done but this one is quite sad. Afterwards we started to watch World On Fire again on PBS because the second season was released. When Larry went to bed I watched The Legend of Bagger Vance. I played some Angry Birds and Solitaire Event. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 40 minutes and 45 seconds, which put me in 18th place in my group.
