Saturday 10-12 Closing Day of Dancing

Another awesome day of square dancing

Thursday night Larry and I had volunteered to help run the computer in the C1 hall for the square rotations. We thought we would be helping out here and there but it actually meant we were the only people doing this in the C1 hall for the entire weekend. Fortunately our friends from Canada (Dean and Monya) offered to help us out. This was so nice of them, it allowed us a bit of freedom to wander around and see friends in other halls.


The dance schedule for today was 10:00 to 12:00,  2:00 to 4:30 and 7:30 to 10:00. In the morning we danced an hour to Ben Rubright and an hour to Bill Haynes. They both did an excellent job. Bill was a lot more challenging. In the afternoon we danced an hour to Darryl Lipscomb and an hour to Ben Rubright. Once again we had a great afternoon. In the evening we danced a half hour to five different callers: Darryl Lipscomb, Todd Fellegy, Bronc Wise, Ben Rubright and Bill Haynes. As the night went on many of the dancers were wearing down and we were making more mistakes but everyone had a great time. Most of the day the C1 hall we had three or four squares. After the last tip everyone met in one large hall for announcements and a final tip with all the callers. For the final tip there were six squares and a lot of people sitting out.

We had an awesome weekend of dancing with friends and six super callers.
