We started the day out by attending the J5 RV Park Saturday get together. Next up was the RGV RV Show in Mercedes, TX. The RV show was a bit disappointing, they didn't have any class A RVs and only two class C's, there was however a lot of trailers, fifth wheels and a few park model homes. Only three companies were there Gooding RV Center, RV Station and Valley Traveland. There were also some booths selling RV items. It didn't take us long to walk through the show. I think this is the only RV show that we have ever been disappointed in and we were really surprised because there are a whole lot of RV'ers here in the valley.
The other day when we went grocery shopping we picked up some frozen pancakes so for lunch I cooked a few up. They tasted great. After lunch I took Flo for a walk. While we were walking back to the house it started to rain. Flo walks very slowly so Larry came to the rescue with an umbrella.
After the rain went away we went to the library to watch our YouTube videos. We were there for a few hours and we're almost caught up. When we got back to the house Flo was very happy to see us. After saying hi to her Larry decided to go take a shower. I cut up the rest of the chicken for dinner and fed Flo. When she was finished eating I took her for another walk. We walked just a few doors down the road when she decided to lay down and wait for Larry. The couple that lived in the trailer where we stopped was very friendly and said she could stay there as long as she wanted. When Larry finished his shower he took the leash and we all went home.
Having fun round dancing to Ruth |
Round dancing to Ruth |
In the evening we went to Tropic Star for a Plus Dance with Joe Saltel, on Saturday's he has an Ice Cream Social Dance, he supplys Klondike Ice Cream Bars to all the dancers. The dance starts at 7:00 with a half hour of Pre Rounds. There were eight couples that round danced. The cuer Ruth did one round dance in between the square dancing tips. Joe had 10 squares. Nobody dresses up for the higher level dances and we didn't figure anyone would dress up for this dance either but we decided to dress up anyway. We thought we were going to be the only ones dressed up but we weren't, it was about fifty fifty. A few of the folks we know from dancing A and DBD were also there but most of the folks we had not danced with before. Joe did a super job of calling. We danced every square dancing tip so I only took pictures of the round dancers. We had a fun time.
