Wednesday 1-11 Another Windy Day

Another windy day
It was 86 degrees and windy today. Flo was doing a little better walking but she did have some trouble getting off the floor once she laid down.

This morning we went down to the clubhouse for the Wednesday morning get together, normally there are coffee and doughnuts but this morning something went wrong and the donuts didn't arrive but there was still coffee. These meeting are really great, lots of folks attend so you get a chance to talk to folks from all over and you keep up on what activities are taking place in the park. Today there was a golf event at noon and even though it was really windy they were still going, I am not a golfer but I would think the winds would make it really difficult.

Randy Dougherty calling his Wacky Wednesday Dance
Char and Glenn dancing with friends
After the get together we went to Pharr South to attended Wacky Wednesday with Randy Dougherty. He had four squares plus three couples. There were three single men that needed a partner so some of the ladies that were sitting out had to fill in. We were out one tip but all the single men had a partner. Randy called some calls he did last night at his DBD dance which made the dance challenging. We had another super morning of dancing to Randy.

Wednesday afternoons there is a C1 dance at 1:00 PM at El Valle De Sol with Bronc Wise, we decided to stop by to watch. We had an hour and half to kill so we stopped at Taco Rico for lunch. This was the first time we have been there, it is a fast food type of cafe where you order your food and then they deliver the food to you. The menu was a little confusing, it only had combos but they had a display of the food they sell. On the display it had the six taco plate, burritos and loaded nachos. We were going to order a plate but when we saw how big the loaded nachos were we ordered that. They had some other name for the nachos and we never did understand the name. The person who took our order had a very heavy accent and it was difficult for us to understand her. we had to have her repeat almost everything. They had a couple of bottles of hot sauce on the table, Larry tried them both and said they were really hot. Everyone got a small bowl of pinto beans to go with their order. The nachos and beans were good and even though we split an order of nachos we couldn't finish it. We still had some time to kill after lunch so we drove around stopped by Stars Dine-In and shared a chocolate sundae.

The C1 dance had eight squares. Our friends Glenn and Char saw that we were there and they were excited to see us. So when they finished the tip they came by to talk. While we were watching the dancers we noticed that we have danced with almost all of them at other dances. One dancers, Rae came over and asked if we wanted to dance. We told her we didn't know C but just wanted to watch a little. It was fun watching the dancers but we're happy at the level of square dancing we're at.

Flo was happy to see us when we got back to her. After saying hi to her I took her for a walk. When we got back to the house we relaxed for a little while. Then I made tostadas for dinner.

After dinner we went back to El Valle De Sol for Bronc's Plus level DBD dance. We had exactly enough people for four squares. Bronc called eight tips. We had a super time. It wasn't too complicated but it was challenging.

We had a super day of dancing.
