Let's go square dancing |
After two days off from square dancing we attended two dances today. In the morning we went to Bronc Wise's A2 dance. More people are arriving here in the Rio Grande Valley, last Thursday Bronc had three squares and today he had eight. Our friends Marcy and Don Caldwell from Sun City showed up the last hour of the dance. They come to the Valley every year in October for the season and go back to Sun City for the holiday. A couple we have danced with many times from New Braunfels also arrived, we hadn't seen them in a long time. Like us they had just recently finished A lessons. Today Bronc walked us all through Trail Off and Peel and Trail, we were glad he did considering both of them can be very confusing. We had a super time with Bronc and the dancers. The second dance was in the evening with Randy Dougherty, it was also an A2 dance and he had four squares. Randy puts the dancers in different positions and makes it very challenging. Sometimes it's a little too challenging. In between the square dancing tips there was round dancing, four couples doing the rounds. The cuer was Ron Woolcock.

There are afternoon dances that we could attend but last year we figured out dancing three times a day multiple days in a row was a bit much so in the afternoons we hang around the Minnie, I might take a nap or work on some Sudoku. Larry is reading a book on his Kindle, this is our first trip where we did not bring any physical books. We had another great day in the Valley dancing and socializing.
