Going to the movies |
No dancing on Sundays :( We started out the day by going to Don Wes Flea Market in Donna TX. Don Wes is only open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Last year we went to the Mercadome Flea Market, it was huge, took us a couple hours to walk through and we still didn't get through everything. Don Wes was smaller and it only took about an hour but we didn't leave empty handed. Larry's good western belts have gotten really old and worn out, last year at the flea market he bought a really nice leather belt for a great price, much less than you would pay at a western wear store or even off of Amazon. This year he found a belt he liked for $15. He was thinking about buying another one because they would have sold him two for $25 but he decided to wait. Last year he also bought a beautiful beaded belt on a close out sale at our local feed store so he now has three nice western belts. After leaving Don Wes we stopped at Walmart to buy a couple of things we forgot at HEB.
Doing Laundry |
I put the groceries away and then made sandwiches for lunch. After lunch I took Flo for a walk and then headed to the club house to do laundry. This week I only had two loads. When I finished doing laundry I relaxed a little.
One of the couples in the park offered to share their movies with the other residents in the park. At 4:00 folks gathered at the club house to watch Sully. It cost 50 cents per person and you could bring your own snacks. Larry stayed at home reading a book but I went. The movie was pretty good. About 60 people showed up. The club house had a sheet on the curtains for the screen and the chairs were arranged in a semi circle so you could see the screen. The event was a success so hopefully we will have another movie day.
In the evening we relaxed. Larry ended up finishing two books today, I did some Sudoku and played computer games. I did take Flo for a walk and she slept the rest of the night. We had a very nice day doing this and that.
