It's cold!!!! |
It was 43 when we woke up this morning and the temperatures fell from there, didn't get out of the 30's and the wind was blowing out of the north. Flo is loving the cold, everytime she went for a walk she wanted to go farther than usual. She walks very slow these days and stops a lot to do her dog thing and sniff. One time when we got home she didn't want to come inside so I let her stay outside. She wasn't outside a couple of minutes and when I checked on her one of the neighbors was walking his dog and Flo had went to say hi to him and his dog. He had her leash I apologized to him, he said it was ok, she just wanted to say hi. I took her leash and took her in the house.
The J5 RV Park is an adult 55+ community and it is amazing how active everyone seems to be, people are constantly walking or riding their bikes. Even with the very cold weather folks were out and about. Three days a week there are exercise classes in the club house and two days a week they have line dancing. If we didn't square dance every weekday morning I would participate in some of this.

We only attended one dance today, it was this morning at 10:00. The dance was an A2 with Darryl Lipscomb calling and Karen Tripp cuing line dances. Darryl had 14 squares, so far this was the best attended dance we have been to this year. I am sure some of the morning plus dances with Joe Saltel have more people, last year he had 30 squares on the floor. Our friends Marty and Kit were there today, this is the only A2 dance they attend, the other dances they dance are all C level. They had been in Seattle visiting their family. Marty is the gentleman that taught us A2. We danced every tip and the last tip we danced with Glenn, Char, Kit, Marty and another couple. Karen introduced me to three new line dances. Some of the moves were the same moves that are used in round dancing. We had another super Friday dancing to Darryl.
On the way home we stopped by HEB and picked up a few things. When we got home I made chili for lunch and used the left over noodles from the other night. We hung around the house the rest of the day. I did laundry and did my daily challenges of solitaire. I also did some Sudoku. Larry finished a second book on his Kindle and started a third one.
We spent the afternoon and evening with the heater going. Yesterday, we had the air conditioner going.
