10-10 Be Happy

I woke up a little earlier than normal. After breakfast we worked on installing the security cameras on the back porch. Larry didn't think that it was going to take too long but it took all morning and part of the afternoon. The first thing we had to do was feed the Ethernet cables through a hole that Larry drilled in the roof on the porch. He wanted to feed two cables through the hole at one time and another one a little later so he taped the two cables and string together with electrical tape. Then he climbed in the attic and the process began. I could not hear him so he got our snow ski radios out so we could communicate with each other. As I was feeding the cables through the hole Larry was pulling them through the attic. Occasionally, the string got twisted around the cable so the process came to a stop until I could get them untwisted. When we were almost finished I made a mistake and let one of the cable ends go inside the hole. Larry was trying to figure out what he was going to do next. I put my finger in the hole and could feel the connector, Larry got a few prongs out to see if he could get the connector back out of the hole. He worked on this for awhile and finally got it out. That problem was solved but another problem came up. The string was tangled around the cable so it was stuck. We ended up cutting the string off the cable. Larry decided the best way to pull three cables through the hole was to tape all of them together, he did this and we started the process all over again. This time he knotted the end so I wouldn't let the cables go all the way into the hole. He taped the wires in multiple places so they wouldn't get tangled up and this time we were successful. The next step he was to install the Husky security camera. He mounted the camera and then he fed the cable through the box and to the camera. Then he put the connectors on the cable and tacked the cable down. Once the camera was installed he tested it out, it didn't work. He worked with it for awhile and then he finally got it to work. Tomorrow he will finish this project up.

After calling it a day on the project I played computer games and did a half hour workout with my Golds Gym program, then it was time for dinner. After dinner we met up with Louis to go to our Monday night A2 lessons. We barely had two squares. We worked on reviewing for an hour and a half then Wendell taught us two new moves and introduced us to another one. Larry and I already knew the moves but it gives us floor time for practice. When we got home I worked on my book and played computer games. Even if things don't go the way you want, be happy and smile. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!
