Georgetown Lake from the hiking trail
Wednesday March 2. Larry got up, dressed and fed Flo before taking her on her morning walk. After they left I got up and heated up the oven to bake some Sister Schubert’s Sausage Wrap Rolls. While I was doing this Larry and Flo returned, they didn’t go far considering I wore her out yesterday. She wanted to go further but Larry knew she was hurting so he made her come back. After Larry and I had breakfast we hiked a couple of hours on the trail around the lake. Our hike went through trees, up and down little hills and over lots of rocks. We had forgotten how rocky the trail was but we didn’t mind. As we were hiking we saw a deer in the trees. When we got back we sat in our chairs until it was time for lunch. I made sandwiches, we were too tired to barbecue. After lunch we hung around the site and relaxed. The only time we got out of our chairs was to take Flo for a short walk which wasn’t too often.

While relaxing in our chairs I started another Cork O”Connor book called Copper River. I was glad we had this book because it was the next book in the series. Larry also read and Flo slept. Yesterday when we had hot dogs Larry thought they were really salty and was not interested in barbequing more of them so today for dinner I cut the rest up and put them in baked beans. After dinner we just hung around the Minnie and took Flo for her night walk. We had a great day.
