Still Raining |
When we woke up this morning it was still raining. Another day of hanging around the house. I continued working on my book and worked out for an hour and half. I played WII Sports for an hour and did Just Dance for a half hour. Flo really wanted to go for a ride but I kept telling her that it's raining and nasty out. The rain stopped in the afternoon and the sun was shining so Larry got the lawn mower running, now we just need it to dry out so we can mow the weeds, oh, I mean the grass. Later he was looking out the back window and saw a beautiful woodpecker on one of our oak trees. He watched it for awhile and took a few pictures. Flo went outside a couple of times but didn't stay out long because she didn't want to be outside alone. And then the rain came back, it was sunny and nice for a few hours and then it got cloudy and started raining again.

Larry was searching on Amazon and found another program called Weird Homes. It was apparently a one season show back in 1998. In the evening we watched three episodes of the series. It is a cute series about some usual and bizarre homes and the fascinating people who built them. The first episode Retired, Still Working, was about three retired people who couldn't relax. The second episode Folk Artists was about two different homes that have folk art all over the place. The third episode Recycle Wonders was about three homes that were built out of recycled glass bottles, beer cans and junk. We also watched a couple of episodes of The New Yorker. The first episode had three short stories, one was Going Clear. which was about how the FBI could have prevented 9/11. One was called Unreality Star about patients that believe their lives are being watched on television. The other one was about drinking 50 cups of coffee. We had a very relaxed day.
