Daylight Saving Time |
Oh where oh where is the wife!!! I forgot to set our clocks an hour forward last night so this morning I got up at my normal time but it was an hour later. When I finally got out of the bedroom Larry looked at me and said "I was beginning to wonder if you were getting up today." I looked at him like he had two heads and said, " It's my normal time," he said, "It's an hour later," I said, "Oh that's right, it's daylight savings time." The sun was out and we needed a few things at the grocery store so we loaded Flo into the car and went to town. While we were in town we stopped and filled up the car with gas. The price of gas is amazing. A few days ago regular unleaded was $1.49 and today it was $1.79, what can we do, the car needs gas. We filled it up and went on our merry way. After grocery shopping at HEB we went home.
After lunch we went to our Advance square dancing lessons with the TIPS Club. We had two squares. By the time we finished we are beat mentally and physically. We only have the lessons every other week and have a half hour review on the other weeks so it is slow going. So far the lessons are very challenging and fun. For dinner I baked a frozen pizza.
Last night we watched three episodes of The New Yorker. Episode 5 was three stories about food. One was about Craig Thornton, who is the chef and owner of Wolvemouth restaurant in L.A. One was about Charles Gabriel, who is the chef and owner of The Fried Chicken King of Harlem. The last story was a skit called Couple's First Dinner Party. Episode 6 was three stories about LA. The first one was a skit called Roy Spivey where an ordinary woman meets a movie star on an airplane. The second story was LA Glows, it was about exploring the unique light of LA. The last one was The Aging America and was about the incarceration in the US. Episode 7 was about three people; one was a nurse that worked with the poorest communities in America, one was an upcoming singer Courtney Barnett and Architect Craig Dykers. Tonight we watched a dvd called Hidalgo, which was about Frank T. Hopkins. We have watched a few times and still enjoy watching it. We had a very nice day.
