What a great day!!!! |
With the change to daylights savings time it is once again dark when Larry gets up but by the time I get up the sun is also up. The day started a little cool but ended up getting in the low 90's, simply a gorgeous day. While we were waiting for it to warm up we loaded Flo into the car and took her to Temple Lake Park so she could go swimming. The park reopened March 1st but one section is again closed, last weeks rain raised the lake so high that it is underwater. The Corp has opened the gate to let the water out of the lake but it's still high. While Flo and I walked around Larry read the paper. Flo didn't go swimming but she did get in the water up to her shoulders. When we were walking around we saw some birds sunning on the ramadas. The lake was flat and pretty and there were a few fishermen out. We were at the lake for about an hour. This time I didn't let Flo walk as far, she was still tired but not in pain.

When we got home it had warmed so Larry worked on installing wiring in the car so when we tow the rear lights will work. The tow dolly has lights but some states require lights on the car. A few days ago Larry received the parts he had ordered to do this project. The first thing he did was test out the wiring kit to make sure it worked. He took the rear lights out and connected the wiring assembly to them and then connected the assembly to the truck. The lights worked perfectly. The next step was to jack the up the car so he could get underneath it to feed the wires to the front and other side of the car. After he wired the first rear light to the wire assembly he fed the wires under the car to the other rear light. Once the back lights were wired he tied the wires up behind the bumper, the next step was to get the wires to the front. He had to figure out where to route the wires and he tied them up as he went. When he got to the front he had to feed the wires up in the motor area to get them to the front of the car. This project took Larry a long time, he had to get up and down many times and scoot around on his back, it was really hard on him. The only thing left to do is figure out where to put the box for the wires. I helped him whenever he needed it. Flo stayed outside with us to keep us company.

In the evening we went to Sun City to dance with the Sundancers. Tonight was their St. Patrick's Day Dance so Larry and I wore a green shirts, white pants and green hats. Larry also wore green suspenders and green bow tie. There were a few people that wore green. There were seven squares. The last two tips were plus with the very last one being a little more challenging and fun. After the dance Brad called an Advance tip. We had a great time at the dance.
