Tuesday 10-22 (Post No. 1) Minnie Projects

Minnie Projects
Two blog posts today, this one and one on the Minnie Waffle Maker.....

Our Minnie is 24 years old. We have had it almost 14 years and its been great. It really has given us very few troubles and we hope this continues. Larry is great about doing a lot of the maintenance himself. If he see something that isn't right he fixes it if he can.

While we were on our trip Larry started having trouble putting the Minnie in reverse and drive. He had to play with the gear lever to get it into gear. He researched it on the web and thought he knew what the problem was. His first priority when we got home was to fix this and the fuel line going to the generator. He ordered the part from Amazon and it arrived last night. This morning Larry crawled under the Minnie and installed the part. Then he tested it out and it worked great.

The next project was replace the fuel line. This project was more complicated because Larry couldn't see what he had to do. I had to help him by telling him where his hand had to be. He first of all had to crawl back under the Minnie and remove the line from the connectors. This took a bit because of the limited space and he couldn't see it. Once he got the old fuel line off he put the new one one on. Afterwards he started the generator to make sure there was no fuel leaks. Then we took the Minnie for a ride to make sure the transmission replacement part works correctly.

When we went to HEB yesterday we bought a pork roast. I thought it was boneless and I was going to cook it in a crock pot but when I read the packaging it said it had a bone in it so we decided to smoke it. While the roast was smoking I read. It only took the roast about 3 hours to be done.

In the evening we watched a movie on Amazon called Bookshop. The movie was based on the novel Bookshop written by Penelope Fitzgerald. It was not very good. Then we watched an episode of Boston Legal. When Larry went to bed I finished watching Miss Fisher.
