Wednesday 3-15 Just Having Fun

Don't forget to have fun
We had another gorgeous spring type day. It got up into the low 70's with beautiful sunshine.

The other day I mentioned the foam mattress in the Minnie had worn out so Larry ordered a new one. It came in last week and we have been airing it out in the second bedroom. When we went to Walmart the other day we bought a bag for the mattress so before taking the Minnie back to storage we bagged the new mattress and put it in. Larry and I had a fun time doing this. The mattress is a queen size so it's really big. Once we bagged the mattress we folded one end of it over and used a ski rope to hold it together while we carried it out and put it in the Minnie. The last couple of mattresses we put in the Minnie were really difficult to get in and this mattress is thicker than either of those, this method worked excellent. Hopefully the mattress has degassed enough that Larry can sleep on it.

Afterwards we loaded Flo into the car and headed to the storage lot. After putting the Minnie away we continued to town to take care of some errands. Our first stop was the Temple Library to donate more books. While there we played with the phone camera on the new phone. I took a few outdoor pictures and a few pictures of the interior of the library. Our next stop was Walmart to pick up a few grocery items, we didn't need much. While shopping Larry came across YooHoo milk chocolate mini bites candy and he knows I like YooHoo drinks so he picked up a box for me. I came across a new type of break and bake cookies (Strawberry Shortcake) so I picked up a pack to try out.

As we were leaving Walmart we saw a field of blue bonnets so we stopped and took a few pictures, once again we used our new phone. After taking pictures we continued on down the road.

The next stop was the UPS Store for our mail. Larry had received an email indicating we had a package waiting to be picked up but by the time we arrived there were three packages waiting. They were all from this month's Home Depot Seeds Program. We couldn't pick them up considering we had the car and the packages were too big to fit in the back. One was a ladder and the other two were air filters. He told them we would be back later.

After lunch Larry loaded our aluminium cans in the back of the truck and we went back to town. We swung by the recycling center and dropped off the cans. Then we went back to the UPS Store and picked up the packages. The last stop was to get gas for the lawn mower.

When we got back to the house I mowed the front yard. Larry played with his Seeds Program products. First was the Gorilla Ladder and then one of the Oreck Air Filters. The ladder is a extremely well built but probably a bit heavy for the average person. The air filter is quiet but isn't built as well as the LG filter we already have. Flo came out of the house and kept us company.

In the evening we watched our YouTube videos and a couple of movies on Amazon. The first movie was called Traveler, it was about a young photographer taking road trips and photographing the people he met. It was a good movie. The second movie was The Beat Hotel, it was about a hotel in Paris in 1957 where artist from America could go to escape from conformity and censorship. It was very good and informative. We had a busy day but it was fun.
