3-15 Do You Like Sunsets?

Our first bluebonnet in the yard

What a wonderful day, woke up to another day of sunshine. It was a little cool so we went to town and ran a couple errands, started off at Harbor Freight to pick up wheel chocks the car dolly, then we stopped by Walmart. By the time we got home it was time for lunch. After lunch I went outside and mowed the yard. Our yard was out of control, I think we had more weeds than grass. A couple of the weeds were almost up to my hips. It took me an hour and half and I only mowed half of the back yard, Some of the weeds had to be mowed twice. Normally we go on a Spring trip for six to eight weeks so to prevent the house from looking abandoned we hire Greeson Lawn to take care of the mowing. This year we decided not to go on a Spring trip so we will mow our own yard. While I was mowing Greeson came by to fertilize our neighbor's yard. We thought this was funny considering they usually do our yard. While I was mowing Larry got out the weed eater and cut things I could not get to.

After we finished with the yard Larry finished wiring the car to be towed by installing the front connector. He had to figure out how he was going to do this and the project took longer then he thought. Once he got the plug installed he tied up the extra wiring. Larry did a great job.

It was a beautiful day and Larry decided he wanted to go to Temple Lake Park to watch the sunset. We loaded Flo in the car and off to the park we went. When we got to the park we were surprised by how many people were there. Belton and Temple school districts are on Spring Break and I am sure that is why the park was so busy. While there I walked Flo around the park. I let her off leash once in awhile so she could go in the lake. We didn't go too far but she had a great time meeting people and dogs. We were there about an hour. When we got home we sat on our back porch. We have a big porch that is five feet high and has a nice view of the lake. We don't sit out there often but today we decided to sit outside for a little while. It was a nice evening and the bugs aren't out yet. We had a great day.
