Saturday 5-30-26 Two Car Shows, Projects, Working Out & More

Happy Saturday

We had a super day with overcast skies and a breeze. The morning temperature was 72 degrees and the high was 90 degrees.

Larry started the day out by working on our security camera systems. Last night Larry cleaned the camera lenses and the pictures are a lot clearer. We didn't know how foggy the pictures were until the cameras were clean. A few weeks back one of the cameras quit, we really didn't care because we don't really pay attention to that particular camera. We really only look at four of our cameras because we like to watch the wildlife and to see when someone comes to the front door. These cameras have a trip wire program into the software so when there is motion we are notified by trip wire. This morning Larry worked on updating the cameras and fixing the camera, that wasn't working. He got all the cameras working. A couple of the cameras are over 10 years old.

We attended two car shows in the morning. Both shows began at 8:00 am, we arrived at the first one about 9:00 am because we know people don't show up on time. Before going to the shows we stopped by the UPS Store to check our mail. We only had some junk mail so Larry came back to the truck empty handed. Then we stopped by Jack 'n' Jill Donuts for breakfast. After Larry bought donuts we drove to the first show.

First was the Belton Tiger Orchestra Car Show at Belton High School parking lot. There wasn't a lot of cars but some of the cars were very nice. It only took a half hour or so. The proceeds go directly the orchestra students (100% of the proceeds).

Second was the Mid Texas Corvette Club Car Show at Bubba's 33 in Killeen, which was 16 miles away. This car show is open to all categories, which are Cars, Bikes, Trucks, Foreign, Domestic and Mod. It takes up three rows and more of Bubba's 33 parking lot. It had a lot of super looking vehicles. They had two Corvette Clubs there. One was already there and the cars were lined up on the side of Bubba's 33 building in two lines. It took us about an hour to walk through the show.

On the way home we stopped by Lake Stop Grocery and bought a Hunt Brothers Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza. We had the pizza for lunch and dinner.

After lunch I went outside and finished cleaning the railing. I did the railing on the steps. It took me about 45 minutes.

While I did this project Larry worked on Internet Radio. He has been playing with the internet radio stations we have on our jukebox via a computer. It's working great and sounds good. He continues to tweak the program. He loves keeping up with computer and other technology.

After doing the railing I worked out for an hour using the Wii Fit and Synth Riders.

I worked out for a half hour using the Wii Fit using the Aerobics Menu, Balance Games and Training Plus Menu. I did two routines on the Aerobics for 10 minutes, which were Basic Run the Island for 6 minutes and Rhythm Boxing for 4 minutes. I did four routines on the Balance Games for 10 minutes, which were Soccer Heading for 2 minutes, Ski Slalom twice for 2 minutes, Ski Jump twice for 2 minutes and Table Tilt for 4 minutes. I did three routines on the Training Plus for 10 minutes, which were Obstacle Course for 4 minutes, Basic Run for 2 minutes and Perfect 10 three times for 4 minutes.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondike and 5 Free Cell). It took me 1 hour, 3 minutes and 29 seconds, which put me in 12th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

Yesterday I forgot to say what games I played. I played the same games I did today except the event was different. The event was Event: Pyramid Mini of 5 games. I came in 6th place in my group.

I played eight games of pinball. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Ace of Speed, JP Space Cadet, Metallica and Nightmare Before Christmas. While playing Nightmare Before Christmas I became high score #3. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Batman, Indianapolis 500, JP Viper Night Driver and Mustang. While I played JP Viper Night Driver I became high score #4.

In the evening we watched an document on Kanopy called Starman. It was very interesting and well done. We really enjoyed it. It was about space exploration and narrated by Gentry Lee, who is a legendary NASA robotics engineer and best-selling science fiction author. He talks about his life. After Larry went to bed I watched Armageddon and The Little Mermaid II from our collection of movies. I ended up doing 5,000 steps.

I continued working on The Blue Truck jigsaw puzzle.
